Research it before purchasing.
Great beginner tablet for toddlers. Read about it before you buy it. Requires 4 AA batteries. They are not rechargeable, it does not plug in. You have to purchase the videos and games and books. You have to use a decent internet connection to download these. If you actually know what you are purchasing beforehand this is a great tablet. Our two year old loves it.

Dont buy unless you want to spend more money.
I am very disappointed in this device. The package is very deceiving. The package states that there are 10 apps included and make it appear that some are games and reading material. However, when the device was opened, the apps included a clock, calendar, and calculator. What does a child (age 3-5 who would be using this device) need with those kinds of apps. There were no apps included that the package led you to believe were included.
Then I attempted to download the connection app but the file was too large for a cell phone. The only other computer that we have is a chromebook. The package was not clear of the requirements and for the amount of money that the device cost, it should be more clear on what is included and the requirements.
This was a waste of money and very disappointing for my 3 year old, who was very excited to see his first "ipad".

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/04/2019dont waste your timedont waste your time or money. doesnt hold a charge and all the games you supposibly get for free are just demos and your lucky if they even will download. wasted 5 hours trying to make this thing work. plus after spending 80 dollars on this thing you then have to purchase more games that cost anywhere from 10 to 25 dollars for one game because the games that come with it are just demos! what a waste of moneydisappointed

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/30/2018UGH! Forgot to read reviews!Got this for Christmas for granddaughter. Smart mom who took hers back before her child could start to like it. Not rechargeable is a BIG DEAL. Didn't read the reviews before buying which is not like me. Unfortunate! Plus, I couldn't get the supposed $75.00 of pre-loaded content to work. Returning!Disappointed

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/25/2018Leap Pad JrDon't waste your money! It's not rechargeable. It uses 4 AA batteries which not included. For $79 it's not worth it. Get the leap pad ultimate instead it's only $88. Will return this to store.Mike

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/19/2018Not RechargeableThe leappad jr itself is pretty cool. The issue is that it is not rechargeable- and you will not find that information anywhere. I've been replacing the 4 AA batteries every 20 minutes. You're better off spending an extra $10 to get the Leappad ultimate.olsot7612
