Elegant Look for a small kitchen.
I like the simple elegant design. So far the automatic lid is working as expected. Placing the trash bag inside can takes a few times to learn the fastest way to set it up properly so it wont fall down inside the can. If done correctly the trash bag will stay in place.

Dented in Shipment
Item arrived from FedX in unsatisfactory condition. Back of trash container all banged in and almost impossible to remove bottom corrugated protective (LOL) eggshell. I did try to straighten the metal canister but it still looks terrible. Starting return ASAP. Hopefully next unit will arrive undamaged. Walmart/Mainstays? need to mark "FRAGILE" on box and/or use a better protection method for shipments. Also wondering if Walmart/Mainstays/FedX willing to offer cash settlement so I won't have to return this item?

    Love the convenience!
    So far, so good! I love having an automatic opening trash can in the kitchen! When your hands are dirty or full, it is so convenient to have the lid open for you to deposit your trash. This is a must have for my kitchen! The stainless steel is easy to keep clean and matches my other appliances. It’s seems to be well made and is sturdy. The lid opens quietly and senses when you are finished adding trash. It sits a little lower than my previous model that was a Nine Star brand. The true test will be how long the opening mechanism lasts, which remains to be seen. (I’ve had it one month.) I’d recommend it as it is fairly priced and was delivered with care and nicely protected and packaged.

    Does NOT take C batteries
    Description says it takes 3 C batteries. had to order them and just got my C batteries delivered for the trashcan lid... they don't fit. it does NOT take C batteries. Come on Walmart...

    This is the third trashcan I have wheel completely complicated surgery. Yes, I am a girl purchased in the last month. This one is by far the nicest and it works for me. It holds the bags nice and tight. They never fall into the inside and I like the fact that you can make the top say open all the time if you like, it’s appears to be well-made. I like it.

    Size - Great; Delivery - Perfect; Complains - NONE very good for tight / small spaces / kitchen... Two small warnings for future buyers: It requires 2 fat big batteries... :-( so, US$10 extra from Walmart :-) for a 4baterries pack! The motion sensor is good but many times -in my kitchen- it opens every time I walk around it, in fact, I purchased this trash can because the sensor in on top, not infront but still it detects motion... If that doesn't annoys you, it's a good buy! Better prices that AMA... FAIR..., TEM.... etc. Conclusión: I'm happy! :-) Not 5 stars because the battery and the sensor but I can survive with that

    Not a happy customer at the moment.
    I literally received this about 4hrs ago. The FedEx guy that dropped off this actually just dropped it on the concrete. i was sitting in my livingroom watching him on camera and heard it when it hit the ground smh. So i took my package in the house and opened it. Very simple to put together. On Walmart site for this item under info it says this trash can use C batteries. After taking off the lid i see it uses D batteries. Lucky i has a set, but i bought 2 packs for trash can, now i don't need them. It was simple to put the bag inn and etc. So i went thru a lot of the comments but seems like no one had this issue so i assume it's just me. This is suppose to be a sensor trash can. I have to hit the on/off button everytime i need to put trash in the trash can. i mean it works then but when i go back 5, 10, 30 mins later..... nothing. I'm just waving at a trash can. if I'm suppose to do this every time i use the can i would've just kept my traditional trash can since i have to keep toto touching it. So I'm returning it tomorrow. Don't know should i order another one or not cause I'm not sure if the sensor suppose to work all the time unless you cut it off, at least that's what the book said. I can't say weather this was a good buy or bad one really cause it may be malfunction cause the fedex driver dropped it or i just have a bad product. It's in good condition so i don't know. Hope this help someone. Oh and as you can see from the 2nd picture i added I'm directly in front of the sensor and it's still close. It cuts off after every 1st use and i have to manually cut it back on to use.

I ordered delivery, not shipping, so it should've been more carefully handled. Now I have a scratched waste bin and expensive batteries I'll likely never use.

    Great looking love the style. Happy to see someone updated the battery holder to OUTSIDE the can. I had older model it was inside rim of lid under and it sucked. HAPPY to see this! Great bang for buck!

    Don’t waste your money
    I loved the motion sensor while it worked for the 1st two months. After that I kept thinking maybe the batteries were just dying really quick. I finally bought more expensive batteries thinking it would be the fix and nope. It never worked properly again. It tries to open the lid but the 2nd pic shows the tiny bite it actually opens. You still have to lift the lid. WASTE of good money.
