Unique means to cool those small areas!
First off, this is not a mini air conditioner..this IS tho a nice compact means to cool a small area that needs a nice breeze. AND it's effective. There is a speed control for the fan. The vent area is moveable to direct air flow. It also has a night light, 7 colors. SIMPLE to use and set up. Add water to water tank to fill line. Plug in unit and press on/off switch. There is also access to the air filter so that can be cleaned easily. I like this addition to my work area when I need a cool refreshing breeze. I have also used in my bedroom when sleeping.

Not great
I see no purpose for this item. It is not a good fan and adding water to the reservoir on the back does not cool the air. It has different colored lights that light up one side of it. There are quite a few colors from which you can chose but should you get tired of that particular color you have to manually change it to another. There are 3 settings for the fan but even on the highest setting it puts out very little air. You would have to be quite close to it to feel it. I tried it first dry and then added very cold water. It in no way cooled the air it was blowing. The cold water caused condensation to form and drip off the back. When I checked it it was sitting in a pool of water. Not good for an electrical appliance to be sitting in water. I'll say this about it: it's attractive but definitely not useful. Sadly to say I would not recommend this air cooler.

    Perfect size
    This is not an air conditioner. I loved the air cooler. This cannot replace an air conditioner but it's more efficient than a fan. It has 3 speeds and the power is very strong. Although the air is strong the air cooler remains very quiet. This was perfect while I slept. The water filter provides cooler air and even better if you freeze the water soaked filter. It has several different lights that are beautiful. This is the best air cooler I have tried, I highly recommend.

    helps me sleep
    Please know what you're getting. this is a PORTABLE one. It has a small tank. I use it at night to keep some moisture around me because I live in a very dry area. This is not meant for humidifying your whole room, just an area of it. I have taken it downstairs several times too just to have it blowing on me when I'm watching TV. It's only a few degrees difference but that's the difference between comfortable and uncomfortable sometimes. Obviously won't really help in humid areas. Not looking forward to replacing the filters but that's a wait-and-see type of thing.

    Good fresh air for the size
    This fan/air cooler can fit easy at any place: on your side table, desk; it won't demand a big space to be set up. Very light weight (to move it around as convenience) and easy to handle, good for camping or outdoor as it's easy to carry. It has 2 options: as fan, as air cooler. As fan, it works as a regular fan, keep in mind it's a small size fan. As cooler, it won't cool a room, but a comfortable area where a person is; air is cool enough to refresh, it's not like an A.C. at all. Easy to clean, to fill with water (needed to spread cool air), and a good thing is that the filter is washable/reusable, avoiding wasting. I've had it for barely few weeks, so far it's working fine, but I don't use it all day long, only for short periods, so can't tell how it will work “under pressure”. Nice feature the different color lights.

    This does its job: it cools off the air directly in front of it and nearby as well.* I'm sure if I had to work or sleep in a place without air conditioning, I would appreciate having this little device. *I did a test where I put two identical glasses on the table, one directly in front of it about 6�� away, and the other one a couple of feet away behind it. The temperature outside was in the upper 80s, and inside it was in the mid-70s. After 10 minutes, using a laser thermometer, the glass in front of it went from 76° to 69°, and the glass a few feet away went down about a degree and a half. It never really decreased after that. I imagine one tank of water will last several hours on high speed. Downsides: It has 3 speeds but none are very quiet. You may feel like you are breaking it by following the instructions to take out the water tank. The louvers in the front are adjustable but the one louver that has a tab that you're supposed to use to adjust all of them does not go into the hole on the side, so you have to use one of the other louvers to adjust them. It has a large light on the side that can be changed to different colors, or turned off, but the light on the top will stay on, and it's that bright blue that pierces through the darkest night, so you have to cover it up if you want to sleep in a dark room.

    My New Best Friend at Work
    Again, we have to clarify that this is NOT an actual Air Conditioner. But this bad boy is way more perfect for work. The area where my desk is located is so Hot even in the winter months. Breeze doesn't get back there at all. The clip-on fans eventually just add to the heat and give no true relief. This is so easy to fill and so easy to clean! The filter is actually of stronger material. Rinse or shake in a little tub of water and off you go. Love the colors and ppl at work for some reason think my little radio is connected to this cooler and the cooler lights are reacting from my music ! Lol. It doesn't have the STRONGEST cool but cool enough for me to sit comfortably im front of it for hours ! If I want to tone it down even more, Fan option is just as great. I thank whoever created this, they had someone like me in mind! So in love. This is for my type of settings, I couldn't really get the most of it at home and the kids kept moving and playing with it. Truly my new best friend at work.

    Keep cool this summer the easy way!
    It really cools! I'm a real skeptic of evaporative coolers but this really does work. I do live in a dry area (San Diego) which my understanding is more conducive for these evaporative coolers to work. Basically it's adding humidity to the air by pulling the heat out of the air to do it. I was pretty impressed to see my infrared thermometer show a marked difference between the air coming out of the cooler and the ambient air temperature. I actually measured a 10F temp difference! This cooler's evaporative filter pad is really dense and high on surface area which is good to get decent efficiency from the cooler and it goes through the water fairly quickly. It holds about two cups and have been using distilled water at room temperature to fill the tank and help keep the filter clean. Aesthetically it looks really nice, includes three blue led lights on the top to indicate the fan speed and some nice accent lights on the water tank which can be shut off or set to one of seven colors. It really looks nice and quickly allows you to see right where the water level is at. The filter and the water tank are removable for easy cleaning and refilling. The chassis even separates for deep cleaning. It even includes an auto-clean feature to help keep your filter clean. Also has functioning louvers to allow you to direct the air where you want it. So far it's been great and will be perfect for keeping me cool this summer!

    Straight off the bat... I LOVE, and HIGHLY recommend this product! It's small enough to fit in small spaces, yet puts out a surprising amount of air for its size. With 3 fan settings, you have control over how much air you need flowing. I tested it on all speeds, but mainly use it on low from 4 feet away. It's very quiet, and I would forget it was running sometimes. With 3 fan, and 6 light color settings, that are both very easy to see, use, and understand, I found it extremely easy to use. I really like how you can choose a "night light" color, which illuminates the water tank, so you can see when it needs to be filled. The tank, which takes only a few seconds to access and fill, holds 16oz (1 pint) of water, and regardless of speed settings, when full to the top, I got almost 4 hours out of a full tank before it needed to be refilled if using as ac/humidifier. When using with water, the air blows cold the entire time. I also forgot to mention the fan vent is adjustable, so you can direct the air to your directional liking. There is a simple on/of button on the top, and everything is easy to use and easily accessible. The filter is easy to remove for cleaning and reinstallation (recommended monthly or before). I have been nothing but impressed, and definitely recommend this item. Would also work great on your desk at work, as it is not loud, and takes up very little space.

    Excellent little air cooler!!
    I am very happy with this little air cooler. I haven't owned it but for a few days but I'm already really happy. It's compact and fits perfectly on my night stand. I personally like my air close to my head so that's where I choose to put it but you can put it anywhere you want. It will work better in a smaller room. I know when I go on vacation, this is coming with me! It's pretty quiet as well. I like louder sounds when I sleep, but most people will probably appreciate the fact that it's relatively quiet. It also has 7 changing colors. You can choose the colors or no color. This also makes it perfect for a child's room because kids love these kinds of lights! The filter looks very easy to change. I'm not sure how often I will need to clean the filter, but the cool thing about this is the filter is a removable, washable filter! I like that! It has 3 speeds as well. I really like this little Mainstays 2-in-1 Air Cooler!
