Great Smoker
I simply Love Everything about this Smoker. Having a little trouble loosing Bluetooth feature at less than fifteen feet away. Heats up Quick and Temp is right on with my instant read probe. First Pork Butt yesterday in 20 degree weather with 20-30 mpg wind. Worked Great with no temp drop. This is my second Masterbuilt Smoker. Had a 30 inch for 10 years. Smoked so many things from Hot Dogs to Turkeys. I finally wore it out. If this Smoker gives me the Service and I think it will I'll be a Happy Smoke Master. Very Well Made and Great controls. Love it so far.

The piece you out the wood chips in fell apart after the first use. It's bent and the rivets came out

    Looks GOOD but has usability problems.
    The negatives: 1) If you open the door, you have to manually re-Pair via Bluetooth. 2) The wood chip delivery system holds enough chips for only 20~30 minutes of smoke. 3) My temp probe worked great the first time, but failed to connect on subsequent uses.

    Easy to Use
    While I've always dreamed of one day building a brick fire pit for wood grilling, I've settled on propane grilling this recent decade, and have always wanted to try smoking pulled pork or even dry-rub ribs. Friends have recommended "bullet" or "barrel" smokers but as a tech guy cook, I'm put off by trying to go back to charcoal grills. This Electric Smoker is the perfect addition to my two propane grills, one of which I use for rotisserie only. Plenty of rack space and easy wood chip loader, I just plug it in, BlueTooth connect and then set the temperature and time on my phone. Once pre-heated, I just throw meat inside, reconnect and handle everything from my phone. Cleanup is easier than expected, the only hassle I have had was because I'm only using a host and sponge. So far, everything has come out great and I have been going through all the possibilities, one weekend at a time. I have not done pulled pork or anything over 4 hours yet, but have tried chicken, turkey, ribs, and even lobster. Looking forward to more smoking (the non-nicotine kind) in the upcoming weekends.

    So far, I love it but...
    I purchased it via the website after much research on various smokers and their reviews. While Masterbuilt has a stand-alone reputation for build quality and other practical and convenient features, I am waiting to hear back from customer service regarding the bluetooth feature touted by them. It fails to connect to any mobile device I attempt to pair it with. Once I get further information from them and a satisfactory resolution, I will update my review.

    Overall....very pleased, beautiful looking unit.
    Being a smoker fan, this is my first electric. Overall, I am very pleased. Temperature control very good, I like the app. Temperature probe is good, even though I do use additional probes. Slide out racks very good and easy to clean, great quality. Good and nicely designed water pan. Only one negative and that is the smoker capacity, just doesn't provide enough smoke time for longer smokes. Needs to be refilled every 30 minutes which defeats the ability to walk away and let the smoker smoke. To remedy, I purchased the A-MAZ-N 5x8 smoker tray which has worked out perfectly for smokes over an hour. An hour or less I do use the built in smoker which does provide very good smoke results. Even with the smoke issue for me personally, I will give this a rating given new month of use.

    First time smoker!
    Got this for Christmas from my lovely wife. Have used it once, and I've never smoked before, so keep that in mind. I made a couple smoked whole chickens/pre marinated them for 24 hours. Soaked the spplewood chips in apple cider vinegar. The unit came to temperature quickly. Took about 5 hours overall to cook the meat- the built in meat thermomenter was very handy. The bluetooth connection to the app broke a few times but it was easy enough to reconnect. End result was some of the most fantastic chicken ive ever had, my nephews keep asking when ill make it again.

    Amazing product and customer service
    I got this smoker for my husband for Christmas. You might say it was really for the whole family. I can't say enough about how easy this is to use. Neither of us has ever used a smoker but our son is in college in the south and we got exposed to the taste. This is literally foolproof and it runs on an app from your phone. We used it for the first time the day after Christmas and it was freezing outside. We didn't have to leave the house until the probe in the meet told us when it was done!! FROM MY PHONE. Our first attempt was Ribs Chicken thighs for nachos Mac and cheese with bacon (recipe on their site) Cod Chicken wings Blackberry cobbler Everything was cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese was to die for. I have to admit that I didn't love the blackberry cobbler but others did. I guess it's a matter of taste. The smoker comes with a cover which got lost in the mail and customer service quickly shipped out another one. I am not sure if we will grill again and this device is 1/2 the price of a grill. I think everyone at our party (Clemson vs Ohio game) will buy one. This was the beat Christmas gift ever. Thanks

    Great Smoker
    This is my 3rd Masterbuilt Smoker and I am not disappointed. Already made Venison Summer Sausage and smoked kielbasa . Temps hold solid with vent on the opposite side of the heat source and the smoker holds plenty of product. Would have gone 5 stars but the spring on the latch ha popped out and I will need to contact Masterbuilt after the holidays for replacement. (Latch still works)
