It is a hit and miss product to obtain at the store by just walking in. My wife could not find it the last 3 times she was there. It seems as if all merchants who used to carry this product is dropping it... So, I ordered it on line and picked it up the next day.... I'll do it again in 6 months when this supply is gone..

    Discontinuing production
    I bought extras of Mentadent (my FAVORITE toothpaste) because they are discontinuing production of it. I LOVE this toothpaste and stores always put stocked it in the most awkward places on the shelf simply because it was packaged in a bigger package and didn't "fit" with the rest of the toothpastes. I feel nobody could find it, or see it, and that hurt the sales of it. But, then again, the elaborate packaging ALSO hurt sales, IMHO.

    Best toothpaste ever!
    I read that Mentadent is being discontinued by Arm & Hammer. Very disappointed with this decision, I'm gonna stock up.

    Great price and super quality
    I bought this toothpaste at the local store about a year ago just to try something new and it happened to be a refil, but I was using it without the main cover (or dispenser) don't know how thons thune called exactly and I tried 7 other stores and different stores and just couldn't find this toothpaste anywhere and recently was browsing a web and found it online and I chose the Walmart at first because of the competitive price. The website is very conviniet, checkout was super fast and I am loving my toothpaste I already recommended this toothpaste to my friend in Indiana and he went to Wallmart in his area and got it too and told me thank you 3 times Don't know why they don't have such a good product in our stores I wish we had a Walmart somewhere in Los Angeles too:) but I guess shopping online is not a bad idea too Thanks, Best Regards, Tamara

    Love it!
    My husband is a quadriplegic with very limited hand function. We love the dispenser because it allows him to brush his teeth without any assistance. I love this toothpaste too. In fact, we were using it before he got injured. It's a great product & we hope A &H never stops making it!

    Wherefore art thou, Mentadent
    Mentadent had been my favorite toothpaste for a number of years, when suddenly it disappeared from the shelves of every drug store, super market and big box store on the planet. I thought it had been discontinued…sure, if it works great, discontinue it. Then I discovered a brand new cartridge of Mentadent in my linen closet. But I'd already disposed on the base, without which you can't pump the paste. So, I was happy when I discovered that Walmart still carries the brand. It's not on the store shelves, but apparently it's in stock in the back. When I ordered it online for in-store pick-up, it was available immediately. Why not stock it on the shelves, Walmart?

    Absolutely the best toothpaste idea yet...
    Honestly, being a pharmacist for 35 years, I have to admit you cannot beat old fashioned remedies some times. This combination of baking powder, in a paste form, along with a newer "gel" type coming on your brush at one time does the job. The potency of the sodium bicarbonate is preserved by keeping it unmixed in it's own chamber the gel kept in another for maximum effectiveness and really works quite well. I have had much fewer mouth problems since using this product which has been about 6 months now. I highly recommend it!

    Best price for the best toothpaste!
    Mentadent is absolutely the best toothpaste on the market. I've used it for 20 years and am often complimented on my bright, white smile. Even dentists have been surprised that I smoke as Mentadent removes nicotine tar stains. I've also been told I have the whitest teeth of anyone they've ever met. I was disappointed when I could no longer find it on the shelves of the local supermarket. Refused for a year to buy it online from a supplier I don't know. When my Dad commented that my teeth aren't as white as they used to be, I decided to look again on the internet for other suppliers. Then I discovered WalMart carries it. Felt safe with this online purchase. Accolades to WalMart for ease of purchase and best price (some $2.50 less for a 2-pack refill).
