Tore it completely apart
I bought this to take apart and build a scuba scooter. The thrust is just what I was looking for, prop pitch is adequate, and rotary switch works great too. I've had my unit down to 30' and the shaft seal showed no signs of leaking. Super great item!

Not very good
Left me stranded, stuck in reverse, in the middle of the river today!! I had to paddle back to shore!! 2nd one that's done this to me. Cheap plastic wheel at end of telescopic handle inside casing broke in half!!! Like I said, this is the 2nd one in 3 years!! Perhaps I'll get a Motor Guide next time!!

    20 Years
I bought my first Minn Kota Endura 30 in 2002 and after 20 years this little motor finally had no more in her, she gave me some good fishing! So I went out and purchased same model and later today looking forward into a little fishing. If this one is anything close to my last one I'll be far from any disappointment.

Last 2 words in the last statment, GREAT DEAL!
First, the price was perfect, second, I needed a new motor, last one cut out on me while I was in the far end of the lake I was in, had to row back to the landing area. Third, I ordered the motor on a Friday, got it the next day, (Sat.) was able to go fishing on Sunday. Lets just say Far as I'm concerned, I got a great deal.

Good company, but check wire connections
Good company honored 2 year warranty on 5 speed switch. check for loose connections. both battery lead wires had loose clips. Black wire connection clip overheated and melted wire and switch.

    $94 Amazing
Bought this for a 10ft boat that I built. I used a Pulpit mount. I hooked it up to an EverStart 230 battery. Yes the one that cost $30. I ran it on level two for 50 minutes. Will it get you to your favorite fishing spot first, no but the speed was equal to a fast pace, and it will get you to the marina and back two times. When I hooked the battery up to the charger, it still had 75% battery charge left.

    Great Little Motor, 30”
Bought this a bit ago. Have been running it on the back of our 14' canoe. Does great with two people in it and our fishing gear. We paddled two miles or so downstream and it took us back up, including some class 1 rapids, and up another mile of river past home easy. Took a hard hit through some rapids on the way back. Knocked it off but didn't do any damage. Super happy customers!

    Perfect for my 16' canoe.
This motor is a great value for $99! I spent just under $200 for a motor, deep cycle battery, battery box and circuit breaker. This is my first electric motor and I like it a lot. 30 lbs of thrust is plenty for my 16' canoe fully loaded with 900 -1000 lbs. On flat water I can make 3-4 knots depending on wind. It is compact, portable and stows out of the way when I want to paddle. And it is very quiet in operation. At lower speeds it is almost undetectable and makes little noise at top speed. The tiller extends so I can reach easily. I have no complaints or criticisms. This motor performs well for the price I paid. I can't speak to the durability since I've only had it for a few weeks and have only put 20 hours in it. Minn Kota's reputation is solid so I am not concerned.

    Sleek and zippy
I purchased this new model to replace a more than 15-year old less-powerful Minn Kota trolling motor that began to malfunction. I use it to power a 12-foot porta boat around local ponds. The new Minn Kota unit seems lighter than my old unit. It'a a bit sexier looking while still maintaining a solid feel. The old unit had spring loaded clamp-on connectors, while this new model has large spade connectors, which I secure to my battery with steel nuts. I ordered a Motorguide 50-amp circuit breaker, which is the size recommended for this model, and plan to attach it to my battery with maybe velcro... When you unpack this unit, the only thing you need to do is to install the handle. Warning, read the instructions first, as you must line up the handle in a certain way before installing it or else the settings will be all messed up.

Using on Sun Dolphin Pedal Boat
This motor works pretty good for the price on the pedal boat. It just makes it much nicer to be on a big lake and not have to pedal the entire time. It pushes the boat along very well with two adults in it. I also got the extension handle and I would recommend that for pedal boat users. When using the recommended battery size we have been out on the lake constantly moving in the highest speed for an hour and a half and still have plenty of battery left.
