Great product
I've used this polyurethane on two different occasions. I pour it right out of the can onto my project. Working fairly fast, I use a bristle brush or a foam brush, spread it out working kind of fast. Self leveling only works when you put it on thick. I've had great results with no problems at all.

Very Discouraged
I have used Minwax products for years and have found great success with them. This product caught my eye today. I have been redoing my bathroom vanities and have put two coats of a good primer, two coats of a good paint, purchased a good brush and after hours of this and waiting I proceeded to put this product on one of my bathroom vanities. It looks like garbage. This product is difficult to use, to smooth, to put on. It balls up, similar to rubber cement, has made the once smooth surface bumpy and now I will have sand to start over with the primer. Below I have a couple of pictures but the entire cabinet is filled with this kind of thing. I have done many cabinets, countertops, and furniture throughout many years. I have never used a product that has disappointed me so badly!

    Horrible
Horrible product. Ruined my whole project. Goopy. I thought it would be better than polyacrylic because it cost twice as much and it was labeled polyurethane.

    Wonderful
I was working on one of many projects and my girlfriend had bought this product ,,, wasn't sure about it at first so I didn't use it, well I ran out of the typical oil base so I tried it, I'm sold , plus water based , thick base, love it

    Great product!
I bought Minwax One Coat Polyurethane in semi-gloss and absolutely loved the end result! After one coat my Island top looked gorgeous. I didn't have brush marks or uneven coating. I put it on generously and used a polyester brush. Will definitely use this product again!

Can see potential but can't figure it out
Just used this product. I see potential but can't seem to get it right. At this point in time I would not recommend the product. Maybe if I figure it out If you use a thin coat as directed you always get brush lines. Plus the stuff is so thick it is very difficult to put on just a thin coat. Working in small sections the poly didn't blend well. Picture attached. Extra info: Piece is 5'x2' Surface is level Sanded up to 320 Minwax preconditioner used before strain Minwax Jacobian stain and let dry for 48 hours Tack cloth to remove dust High quality synthetic brush used to apply I've emailed the email address they leave an the reviews and awaiting a reply.

Horrible, Definitely not a One coat and Done!
Horrible, Definitely not a One coat and Done! This is a milky white color that is thick like honey and goes on very thick but leaves streaks and unevenness everywhere. It dries so unevenly and does not self level. After applying 3 coats and trying to sand some of the bumpiness out of it, it started pulling up. It pilled up in a thick large pieces. I had to sand the table and pull it all off then stain my table again. Now I'm back to square one at looking for a good clear top coat that will seal, be durable and last!!

Refinished an antique oak desk worked great
I used the min wax provincial oil stain after stripping then let it dry for three to seven days then used the one coat poly to finish it. I actually sanded with 220 grit sanding block after it dried using light pressure then gave it a second coat. Both coats applied thin and even. I wanted to make sure it was protected well since I would be using the desk daily. It turned out beautiful.

    Horrible
I bought the One Coat for a fireplace mantel that I built. Thought it would be one and done...WRONG! The only thing one and done is me choosing this product again. I am back at square one only after I sand it back down. No hints in the directions about coverage recommendations or controlling brush marks.

    Perfect for my crafting projects
I have a vinyl business making shirts, and decals and more recently I have started making signs. It was my daughter's idea actually, she wanted me to make plaques for some of her favorite teachers for Christmas so I needed some type of clear coat to seal the decals and to protect them. So getting this was perfect, it went on clear as glass, dried quickly, didn't peel, and added a wonderful shine to my projects. I will definitely be using this again.
