Too boring for 4 and too hard for 3
My 4yr old (now five) was completely bored and aggravated with it within minutes and my 3 1/2 gr old girl found it too frustrating to be patient enough to wait and get the piece that dangles in the mouth in time to get it.. they never played it since..

    It's the simple things kids enjoy!!
    I purchased this fishing set for my 3 y/o grandson for Christmas to add to a bag of bathtub “goodies” for him. I purchased many other expensive toys for him to play with, yet after he had ripped them all open it was this less than $10 magnetic fishing game that he played with all evening!! And he's still playing with it both in and out of the bath 2 weeks later! He received battery powered ride on toys, remote toys, talking action heroes, you name it, he got it, yet he loves his little fishing rod! :)

    my son loves it
    my son loves this set. just wish the string was a bit longer and the three floaters submerged a bit. that's just my personal opinion though, I'm sure my son isn't complaining. The set itself is still great!
