Excellent product for my purposes
Easy to assemble, and holds an awful lot of weight. If this meets your needs in terms of measurements, I'd give it serious consideration. For me, I did not want it sticking out too far, so the 18" depth was great. I had plenty of height available, so the 84" height was no problem, and in fact desirable. For anyone worried about the assembly, especially after reading some of the other reviews, don't worry about it. It is very easy to assemble, but please do follow this advice: 1) get a rubber mallet. If you don't have one, a wood block and a standard hammer are OK, but rubber mallet is best. 2) look at the rails; the instructions will say 'flange side up'. One side of the rail is different from the other, and you'll see what they mean by 'flange side'. Keep in mind that a board/shelf is going to sit on top of the shelves once you assemble them, and that may help you determine which side goes up. 3) both the short and the long rails attach from the inside. This means that the round posts (rivets) on each rail start on the inside and push thru the holes in the metal posts so that rivets face the outside. 4) perhaps the trickiest place is where the two long posts join together. Think about it, and it will make perfect sense, but this junction is where having 3 arms could come in handy and finally 5) when you get a section lined-up, tap the rails with the rubber mallet to seat the pin into the hole properly. The hardest part of assembly is getting started. Lay some pieces out, and look at the pic on the box. It really is very easy.

Incredibly flimsy
These shelves were incredibly flimsy and bent while assembling. I attempted to return the other unopened sets (bought 3 total), but Walmart wouldn't take them.

    Sturdy Shelves
    I purchased one of these and was so pleased with it that I purchased two more for the garage. After having purchased another one from another brand, and was not as happy as I was with this one.

    Very good shelving for the price.
    These shelves were what I expected for the price. They went together with no problems other than trying to hold the pieces in place while securing them together. My stored items are not that heavy so the shelves work great. I'm not sure they will hold the weights claimed by the manufacturer as the laminated shelves (which have a very nice finish) don't appear to be strong enough. And the metal parts are not what I'd call heavy duty. I'm very happy with the shelves.

    I would buy another, just not online.
    Have another one just like this. Was easy to put together and strong shelves. When I opened these boxes the angle pieces needed to be bent back to be able to put together. Only to find some of the support bars were bent as well. Still fighting to get the 2nd one together.

    Very sturdy storage
    We bought three units for basement storage. We assembled two as shown and the third was built as two shorter sections. Super strong and we anchored them to the wall to prevent tipping.

    Sturdy and practical... a great value!
    Bought one... then two... of these to organize the storage in my basement. Experienced a slight bit of frustration trying to join the upper and lower sections of the legs, but once together, they work great! Sturdy and functional.
