Heavy duty shelving unit
This is a very heavy duty shelving unit. It's perfect to use in my shed outdoors for extra heavy objects. It took a bit of time to put it together. One suggestion I have is to place a 1" X 12" long piece of wood along the side of the rail. Tapping it all across will make the job easier to push down the rails into the slots where they go. I am very happy with this purchase.

Would be great if it came with directions but a mess of boards and metal is not good enough. Back to Walmart! Im disgusted with the amount of broken, missing parts crap Ive received over the past year courtesy of Walmart. Just what I want to do on a Sunday is pack up heavy shelves and drag back to Walmart. Thanks

The package was supposed to include 4 metal connectors to join the top section and bottom section of each corner rail or pole. No such connectors were in the box. Without them, the product is useless. The package was so poorly and insecurely bound, that there were large holes at the end of the cardboard package when it arrived. Perhaps the missing parts fell out during shipping. Or maybe the factory forgot to put them in the the package in the first place. All I know is they're missing, and the factory should be more careful to include them and/or to pack the item securely. Very disappointed in the manufacturer and the seller for providing a product that is missing essential parts. Unfortunately I didn't start to assemble the unit (and discover the problem) until after the return window expired. So the shelving might be nice, but it's useless when it can't be assembled.Customer

It was a little much. But it worked fine in my storage closet. I let it air a few days and it was better. It holds a lot for a small shelf! Would buy it again.Patricia

I have nice wooden shelves already but the a/v system outgrew it. This rack is wider, deeper, and taller with another shelf. Can also space them how you want. Simple to assemble, just fit the parts together and seat them with a few taps from a rubber mallet. Can also use a hammer with a block of wood or a folded up rag to protect the finish when you bang it together. I 3 of these. First one took about 30 minutes. Last one about 15. Like I said, simple!Patricia

The instructions also mention "tap lightly" to have the rivets set in place. The rivets don't even fit in the holes, I have to hit it pretty hard and that didn't even work on some of the brackets. I can tell it's sturdy so it would be great if all the rivets had fit.Tasha

The instructions said to tap gently to fit the joints, but a "gentle" tap is not enough. you need to hit it really hard to fit it. I live in an apartment and it was surely a trouble for my neighbors. - it is difficult to lift it up to move it, because the joints keeps poping out. I would rather fix it with bolts and nuts to fix it in place.Aswathydas

They are well made and very durable. You will need a large rubber mallet to assemble them. Do NOT use a metal hammer, only a rubber mallet. Note that the uprights are half the height of the unit. On the shorter shelves there is a splice plate that can interfere with your desired shelf placement. On their taller units the ends are butted together and secured with a shelf.Robert
