Works great but..
The Netgear AC1200 works great however they should change the installation from a CD to a flash drive or some other up to date file transfer system. Most computers these days do not have a CD player and unless you have internet or a CD player you cannot install the drivers necessary to use this product.. which kind of defeats the purpose of it. If you have internet to install it, why would you even need it? A CD is just out of date and is old technology when it comes to computers. Other than that it is a great product!

Meh
Not Functioning consistently. I met with tech support for an hour and no progress. Just a bunch of hoops to jump through. Not worth the price if consistent advertised speeds are needed

    Good range, auto reconnect not great
    The wifi extender has worked very well, I get a much stronger and more consistent signal than my laptop was getting before. The main draw back is that it isn't that good at reconnecting to the wifi. Every time I reconnect my laptop I need to make sure it has connected again.

    Great USB device
    In my last house my computer was hard wired via Ethernet to my access point. Now that we moved it's too difficult to hard wire my computer so I tried this USB device and it works great. I only do large downloads of programs/updates and videos and so far this is just as fast as my wired connection. I had doubts, but they are gone now! This little device is great!

    Card works but is refurbished-not new.
    This was advertised as new but seller sent a certified refurbished one. It works okay so I'm not going to return it at this point. Just disappointed. (See sticker on back)

    Super speed
    The NetGear USB WiFi adapter made my laptop run fast connecting to the internet. It was so easy to install, it came with a installation CD, Instructions, USB cable with the desktop dock and the Ac1200 wifi usb adapter. My speed was awesome from the front of my apartment and all the way through. I'm very impressed

    Fast Wifi Surfing!
    Got this hoping it would improve my wifi speed and was pleasantly surprised. I gained on average 25mb per second faster page loads which helps on auction sites. Set up was super easy with the provided disc. Like that it comes with an extra stand so it isn't hanging out the side of my laptop when I'm using it at work. Definitely recommend this nice wifi adapter. Quality product from a proven company.

    Great Speeds 3 rooms away!
    I just bought this product this evening, installed the drivers from the included CD, plugged in the device, and boom! Good to go. I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about, this product works fine and 3 rooms away from the router, I only lose about 1-5% of my network speed on 5 ghz. Ping and latency response times of an Ethernet connection. No issues. I pay for 240 MBPS internet, and with this adapter 3 rooms away from my router, I get about 238 MBPS, which is nothing to complain about. Great product Netgear, just wish it was a little cheaper. See below my speed test.

    Hey so I've been working from home and was hardwired. Due to a flood I had to move my workstation upstairs away from the wifi setup. I am proably 1600 sq feet away with 1 wall and this thing is lightning fast. I was wondering because a co worker was compiling about his brand and I just did a speed test on googles speed test and ookla speed and both of them came back at just under 200 which is my max i think. Saw the low ratings of this unit and figured id write a solid review as i am impressed and pleased

    Bought this wifi adapter to go with my son's new gaming PC after calling Netgear to confirm it would work with Windows 10 without any issues. It worked right out of the box, so I bought another one to go with my daughter's new gaming PC!
