So far so good!
So far so good! The set up was fairly easy, and I was able to do it by myself. I contacted support to make sure everything was correctly set up on their end as well, and the person I spoke with was really helpful. This is so much cheaper than renting from the Internet companies, so I'm grateful I made this decision.

Sent me a USED modem for $23! Horrible!
Wow, I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed with this seller! I spent nearly $39.00 for what was supposed to be a NEW Netgear modem from Walmart. Instead, I receive a USED (‘refurbished') modem from Amazon (all Amazon packaging too) with a slip inside of it thanking me for my $23.00 purchase. What?!! I paid almost $40 and they sent me a $23 used product? Now I have to spend time going to the store to return it. There are also no Walmart receipts attached to this. I have no clue how to make this return. Very frustrated with this seller and would not recommend them.

    Easy to connect, reliable
    This modem is a trooper. It is easy to connect, and works like a charm. Plug it in, ask your internet provider to recognize it, and poof, done. I paired it with a super fast Netgear Nighthawk router and have speedy internet everywhere in the house and on the deck. Love it.

    okay for now...
    my old one broke after 5 months of use, so hoping this one lasts longer! i had to pay to get it fixed and extend the warranty because it only lasts two months...

    Works as advertised
    I was using an old 2.0 modem that I had for about 12 years. It was time to go 3.0 which is what I needed for quicker speeds for streaming and downloading. All in all a great modem thus far.

    Gets job done
    I used this modem in an apartment with 2 other roommates. We had multiple laptops, phones, and devices connected, and never really ran into any issues. Reliable device.

    Great Modem!
    I had trouble connecting my modem due to Xfinity incorrectly provisioning my device. Netgear did an amazing job offering support. Will definitely continue purchasing Netgear products!

    Cable modem review
    Modem worked fine had a hard time setting it up wasn't the cable company fault but the makers fault finally had to call and a course I could hardly understand the person I was talking to. She asked for a phone number in case we got disconnected and we did and see never called back. When she set up my account she didn't put the info I gave her so I had to call again and once again I could hardly understand

    Unusable with Xfinity
    I was unable to use this modem with Xfinity due to a known duplicate MAC address issue with this model. After spending a couple hours on the phone with Netgear support to convince them that their hardware was the problem, I got an RMA approval. The second modem also had a duplicate MAC address. I have returned this device and went with another vendor.

    Unusable on Xfinity
    When I tried to activate this modem with Xfinity, I was told the MAC address was already registered with another customer. Hard to believe as it was, I found Netgear support forum posts relating this exact experience with the same model over two years ago. I managed to convince Netgear support to send me an RMA only to go through the SAME problem with the second modem. I returned this product and went to another vendor.

    Net Gear modem
    For starters this was supposed to be new product however is labeled certified refurbished, I do not consider that new product. Second of all it came in an Amazon box, I am not a fan of Amazon and furthermore if I wanted to order from Amazon I would have ordered from their website. I will be returning this item.
