Works well!
Had another wifi extender from edimax and it constantly went out. It seemed like I had to reset it after a thunderstorm. After the last bad thunderstorm we had, the entender would no longer connect to my wireless connection. This was easy to set up and is working well!

This is not compatible with non-Netgear router
I tried to use with ARIS router and found the speed of the Netgear is reduced by 1/3 of the actual speed from the router. When I contact Netgear support, they told me it's not compatible with any non-Netgear router. But I don't see this compatibility info from the website. They also told me that this device will only work with 2.1GHZ and don't work with 5.0GHZ I am returning the product

    Works great for me! Easy Setup.
    I have had pretty good success with these Netgear WiFi range extenders. Be aware, though, that this particular model is 2.4GHz ONLY. I didn't realize that until after purchasing. My understanding is that 2.4GHz's signal reaches further, but with far slower speeds than a 5GHz signal and vice versa. If you want those higher speeds you'll want a 5GHz signal as well. I ended up going with the EX6120 model and it's worked really well. Every model has different speeds and coverage so definitely do your due diligence.

    I bought this to connect an Ethernet only security camera system to our wi fi internet service. It works fine, just a little bit of delay from camera activation to app notification.

    Works as expected
    The WiFi range extender works as expected. The setup instructions were clear. The default network name for the Extender adds "_EXT" to your current network name and you can use the same password.

    Good product for the money
    This wi fi extender was reasonably priced, performs perfectly, and was easy to install. Prior to the installation of the extender, movies watched on Roku would often stop, sometimes more than once, because of loss of signal. We have watched several movies since then without interruption.

    I already have one of these that I use at my camper to improve signal strength and it works fantastic for years now. It is simple to setup and you can secure with a password. You can stream movies, XM radio and many other music venues with very little if any buffering.

    2 story home and our router didnt reach up stairs to some rooms. I am pretty tech savvy. I did need Netgear tech support to set up. The booklet is a little akward and jumps around. Tech support did hang up on me the first time and didnt call back. Even though they ask for your number several times in case you are disconnected. After Everything was set up it continued being difficult. We do not know why. It is working fine now. Lets hope it continues.

    Very Pleased
    Very pleased with this purchase, works good, really helped extending WiFi range on upper house level. Only issue was with setup, had to connect a cable to get it to sync with our netgear router. And, the tech support online for setup was a royal pain and useless.

    setup was easy, plugged the extender into an outlet in the room with our router, pushed a button on the extender and pushed a button on our router, and they connected. then I moved the extender to an outlet on a covered porch, and I now have wifi about 150 feet away at our mailbox. I am thinking about getting a enclosure and mounting another extender near the mailbox to take wifi to my boathouse, another 150 feet beyond the mailbox. likely I will have to use the more difficult setup procedure to extend from an extender... but I now have a much larger wifi area.
