Can't go wrong with this router.
I bought one of these about 6 months ago in store and it's pretty awesome so far. We have Charter/Spectrum and I saw they were giving everyone 200 Mps, yet we were only getting around 30, so I called Charter and the guy said that to get those speeds we had to get a 5G router, looked around online as I didn't want to go over $100.00 and saw this Netgear and went and got it. I use to use Belkin for yrs but after I installed a Netgear for my brother in law I like the ease of setting it up. I like this one so much I got him one for Christmas yesterday at the Boiling Springs Walmart, shocked they still had one so close to Christmas. We get 220 Mbps, I stress tested it the other day, had 2 phones on playing Youtube videos, a Roku playing Netflix, A Kodi box playing Mobdro's Discovery ID, and the computer on watching a replay of the Redskins Super Bowl 17, all on for 1 hr and it handled it all, the range on this thing is crazy, I can drive to the mailbox about 100 yds away playing a youtube video with no problem. I'm sold Netgear! It's what we will buy from now on. Now for some reason they make you get the Nighthawk app to set it up but it was easy, if your a luddite without a smartphone find a 6 y/o with one to set it up for you, I'm sure you can probably do it the old fashioned way though. You can't go wrong with this router, I don't have a single bad word to say about it. In the pics below the left one is ours mounted on wall, the right one is the one I bought yesterday for my brother in law, kittys name is Gracie, she also approves and says it plays her 1080p bird video's without a hitch, meow.

Great hardware, pathetic software.
I bought this product in order to make a simple wireless LAN. Before buying this product, you should know that it does not work for this purpose. The box should specify that the router requires an internet connection to set up. I just want to configure the wireless lan, why the heck do I need to download an app. Do yourself a favor and buy a wireless router that lets you configure it at 192.168.1.1 like every other one. This is garbage. Even with the app downloaded, the router STILL will not allow me to configure the LAN without a WAN connection.

    Fantastic mid grade router, outstanding for price!
    I LOVE LOVE LOVE, the nighthawk app! It's very straightforward, but you can do some complex things. My title says mid grade, only because when I had an ac1900 I felt like I could do more with the router with the app. But this is still an amazing router for the price. Highly recommend this router!! The range is GREAT too. The router provided by my ISP is total crap, 30 feet away in the drive way and it cant connect. This router I have in my room upstairs. Full coverage from the street to my backyard, which is pretty darn big. Overall A Highly Highly recommend it for the affordable price

    This router is amazing!
    I bought this router on sale, and I was a little hesitant, because it was cheaper than the slower routers. I shouldn't have been! This thing is awesome. It was super easy to setup and the app makes it very to keep tabs on everything. If this router ever dies, I will definitely buy another Netgear!

    This router is great it does the job I said this up as a secondary router in my home and it works flawlessly and extremely easy to set up the Nighthawk app is very user-friendly I would highly recommend this router for anyone who needs it for normal every day use

    Very happy to finally have working Wifi!!
    Using our phones unlimited internet is hit or miss where our home is located for some reason, so we of course have home internet/wifi thru our cable company but the router they provided started to truly slack a couple years in. We procrastinated for some time until running to Walmart

    Solved my problem
    Bought this because of weak wifi in end of house farthest from router and it has done what I needed. My old router was NETGEAR also but about 15yrs old and when streaming in the room farthest from router buffering was the norm, this solved the problem plus the NIGHTHAWK app is great for trouble shooting any problem that might come up in the future. Thanks NETGEAR job well done!

    Definitely worth the money
    Since I installed this router I don't have any buffering while streaming music or movies on multiple devices. The nighthawk app is so innovative I'm sorry I didn't buy sooner.

    Pretty easy to install after downloading the night hawk app. Took about 30 minutes to install and reconnect my devices. Almost doubled my down load speed.
