Our new go to bottle
I got sent these Nuk Simply Natural bottles to try since I'm part of the parent panel for wee spring
I had a dr appt this morning and I was by myself. I knew Bub would get hungry and I figured a bottle would be easier for me to do than trying to feed him, especially since hes such a distracted nurser. He's never been super good at taking a bottle, especially from me, but I figured we'd give it a shot and if it didn't work I could just try to get him to nurse. Well, he had zero problems. Took the bottle like a pro, 3 oz down in no time. He usually uses the Avent bottles. He takes them, but there's a lot of chewing and playing and mess involved. These ones? None of that. Latched right on and went to town. They're supposed to be better for breastfed babies; nipple shape and a few holes instead of just one. I'd say they are, and these are what we'll be using from now on!

less gas & spit up
I received these bottles as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I am having mixed feelings about this bottle. My 8 week old doesn't always get a good latch on the bottle and it makes for a messy feeding. However once she gets about halfway through, it is a lot better and we don't have the messiness. It could just be that she does not like the shape of the nipple or maybe the flow is too fast for her. Other than that I have noticed that she has less spit ups and seems less gassy when using the bottle. I like the fact that it holds 5 oz and easy to hold.

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/27/2019Great bottles...butI switched my newborn son to these bottles because he did not do well with Avent bottles. He was two weeks early and has a small mouth. I really love these bottles but wish the ounce markings on the side was another color other than white. It's really hard to see once you fill with formula. I would have given 5 stars if it was easier to read.Newmomtn

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/27/2017Great bottle but they crack easilyMy daughter is breastfed and we have tried several bottles and this is the only bottle that she will take. Love the shape of the bottle but they crack so easily. We have had 5 break so far. One shattered when it was dropped and the other have cracked. So frustrating especially when baby's get older and like to throw their bottles. Can't afford to keep buying them!Jazzmen

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/17/2017My son loves them!I bought these for my now 2 month old and he does really well with them! He immediately took to the Simply Natural nipple with no issues and they have been easy clean up for me with so few pieces. My only grievance would be how easy the plastic has broke when accidentally dropping the bottle with the lid/nipple still attached. While I understand dropping them is my fault, both times they fell less than two feet and cracked the same exact way. Despite that my son and I still love to use these bottles and I also just like the way they look!JadeJB

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/29/2016Clean look and parent friendlyWhen I first pulled the bottles out of the package, I immediately liked the clean lines and shape of the bottles. They are nicely designed with minimal parts, so they are easy to hold and easy to clean. However, the cap is sometimes hard to pop off which can be tricky when you have just one free hand and a crying, hungry baby! Unfortunately, the flow of the nipples that came with the bottles were too slow for my 7 mo. daughter. She would get frustrated by not getting the milk quickly enough, but I suspect a medium or fast flow nipple would suit her better. Also, the nipple has a very specific shape and needs to be inserted into the mouth in a particular way. This could be challenging as baby grows and learns to hold the bottle on her own. In general, these are good quality bottles and would be an option if you are transitioning from breast to bottle. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me these bottles!kaflynn

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/06/2016Unique designI got a chance to try these bottles thanks to weeSpring's parent panel. I just want to start by saying that overall, I think these are really great bottles for the price range. I have tried A LOT of bottles from so many different brands and the simply natural by NUK is definitely one of my favorites. First of all, I really like the unique design of the bottle's nipple; it is unlike any on the market that I am aware of. My son is primarily breastfed, but takes bottles when I am at work, so a smooth transition between breast and bottle is very important to me. There are some brands of bottles my son simply won't take to, but he instantly liked this one. I had no trouble trying to get him to drink from it. The bottle also has a nice shape; it is easy and comfortable to hold. I am also a big fan of the wide neck as we use the bottles for pumped milk. It makes transferring the milk so much easier. The only 'issue' I have had with this bottle is that sometimes when my son drinks from it, the nipple sort of 'deflates'. I asked my pediatrician about this and he said that usually happens because the baby is sucking too hard to get the milk out so going up a flow rate will generally fix the issue. For reference, we got the slow flow nipple, however, we use slow flow nipples for every brand of bottle we have bought so I thought it was kind of weird that that happened with this bottle. I have not tried any other flow rate from NUK so I cant say if that would fix the problem. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this bottle.TroodMarie

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/03/2016Didn't Quite Hit the MarkI'm a working mama of a 5 month old. To avoid nipple confusion, I prefer a bottle that closely emulates breastfeeding. We're used to the Medela Calma system, but wanted to try out another (reasonably priced) option. The bottles come in three easy to assemble pieces. The initial cleaning of the bottles was nothing different than any other bottle options. Boil to sanitize, dry. I appreciate the width of the bottle, as a dish sponge can easily fit the inside the bottle. The nipple is soft, shaped like mom's nipple, and has three small holes for a slow flow. Although the nipple is soft rubber, it is thick. This makes me believe it would withstand a good couple months of use. My baby is a feeding pro, so I was initially a bit concerned the flow would be too quick for him. He likes to hold his bottles, but couldn't get a good grip on this one. The base was just too wide for his tiny hands. As he drank, my baby would get a little overwhelmed with the milk flow. I was constantly wiping up milk from his mouth, much more so than when using Medela's. I love the fact this bottle has less parts than the Medela option… the fewer pieces to clean at the end of the day, the better. However, the parts are much larger than Medela's, so they take up a lot of room on the drying rack. The flow is also a concern at the moment. I'm positive if we tried this again when he is a few months older, this bottle would be perfect for him. But at this stage, he wants to independent and cannot hold this bottle. The flow is also a bit too quick for him. I got a chance to try these bottles as a part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.christinep

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/26/2016Very cool design for a breastfed baby! The design of these bottles is really great for a breastfed baby - the multiple holes in the nipple, as well as the shape are unlike any other bottles I've tried and I love that the experience for baby is as close to breastfeeding as possible. I also like the 5oz size because it's easy to transport and for baby to hold on their own. I also love how clear the bottles are, they don't cloud up over time like many others and the measurements on the side are easy to read. My only complaint is that the slow flow nipple still seemed a little fast for a breastfed baby. I would make sure to use paced bottle feeding when using these bottles - and definitely choose the slowest flow nipple, even for older babies. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me these bottles!Hannah
