Wonderful Product
Here is a picture of our boxer, Ellie. This was taken 7 months ago. What a difference! I highly recommend this food for your overweight dog. She loves the taste! She is at a much healthier weight.

Works great!
My puggle was diagnosed in July 2016 with IVDD and had surgery on a severely compressed disc in his spine. His surgeon recommended that he lose at least 10lbs, but considering his rear legs were paralyzed at the time, exercise was not an option. I was recommended by a friend to try this product and he lost a total of 12lbs in just a few months! However, I recently put him back on this food(he gained a little holiday weight) and now he poops SO MUCH, like twice as often as he used to so I'm only giving it 4 stars because of that. I would still highly recommend this product, especially for IVDD dogs that need to get to or maintain a healthy weight to avoid flare-ups!

She's around 14-15 years old and is not active. I tried the Natural Balance “Fat Dog” food in January 2020 and today at her vet visit she weighed 23 lbs! My vet was a little surprised but extremely happy! I didn't reduce the amount of food because at her age, I don't want her to be hungry! I'm so happy with Natural Balance!Susan Loves Shorty

One of my boys is allergic to SOY, potatoes, pumpkin, some grains, etc...along with grass! This is the ONLY food I found without Soy in it! His optimum weight was 60 - 63 lbs, and he weighed in at 78 lbs three years ago. I put him on Fat Dogs and in less than a year he was down to 60 lbs. I didn't exercise him any more than I had been doing when he was overweight. So the only thing that changed was his diet. That was three years ago, and today, at almost ten years old, he remains in great health. We were at the veterinarian yesterday morning for his annuals, and he was 61 lbs!Woo Woo

Nothing seemed to work and she was suffering because she has a previous knee repair and her weight was causing stress on her legs and hips. This is her before and after 1 year on Fat Dog. 5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/01/2017Amazing productAfter looking at all the available apps dry dog foods for overweight dogs, I was impressed to find that this food has such a low calorie value yet still contains a good amount of protein and even more fiber than any other comparable food. It was easily accepted by our 5 y.o. border collie/australian shepard mix who needs to loose about 10-15lbs. We consulted our vet for the number of calories she needs in a day and calculated the cups she gets daily. We also bought a kitchen scale and weigh up her food for a week with the day and time labeled so she doesn't get over-fed anymore. Her weight loss so far is 65 lbs down to 61, this was over about 2 months as we had some setbacks (over-feeding, no labeled baggies). Her weight loss is definitely becoming visible and she still has the same energy and healthy coat as before (she was on raw food) with the added benefit of massive poops. She's satisfied and we're excited to see the progress continue!misskeira
