Not oily
I'm very pale so I can't promise there isn't a white cast... but i dab it where i put my high lighter, rub it in, and forget I'm wearing it entirely. Light weight, not oily at all after a few minutes. Start with less and layer if needed

Don't buy - contaminated by benzene
This product is on the list of sunscreens contaminated with benzene, a carcinogen. When it is found to be free of benzene, I would buy it again.

    It isn't "sheer"
    Sheer Zinc suggests that this product becomes clear on your skin. It does not.

    Effective & Safe but very white
    Good sunblock without all the toxic chemicals but it's very white. I have some olive tones in my skin and it's very noticeable. After exercise, it leaves a noticeable white residue.

    Neutragena zinc
    It's very effective at blocking the sun because of the zinc oxide in it but it's very hard to apply much less rub in. It leaves a white film on the skin that does not get absorbed.

    Neutrogena SPF 50 sun block cream.
    With regular sun block my arms itch like I have poison ivy. The Neutrogena SPF 50 protects me and I have no negative reaction. The only problem I notice is it stays kind of white on my skin. Regardless, it solved my problem.

    Neutrogena Sunscreen Sheer Zinc 50 SPF
    This sunscreen is fantastic. It applies in a somewhat odd consistency like paste, yet dries quickly (for me within 5-10 minutes) and provides a tremendous layer of protection. It does not feel oily or slimy once 'dried'. This product had been strongly recommended by my dermatologist (after my dealing with skin cancer) and she was spot on!

    You'll look like a ghost
    Very thick and difficult to smooth into face. Pulls the skin. Very white on the face and you can't blend it enough into the skin. When I sweat it gets even whiter. It's ok for the body but still leaves a white cast.

    White Look After Applied
