Great Powerful Blender
Of all the Blenders I have purchased in the past, this Ninja is by far the BEST. As for the quietness of the Blender, it is not as loud as I expected for a 1000 Watt motor. This Blender does virtually everything that it is advertised to do. I love the safety locking lid with the pour spout, it is a fantastic feature. The base has a bit of heft, but that is good for stability. The Pitcher is made of high impact Plastic which is lighter than Glass and presents no problems. Cleaning is a breeze and rather fast. If you are looking for a POWERFUL Basic Blender, then this is the one for you. As a side gift, it comes with an EXCELLENT Recipe booklet to get the best out of your New Blender.

Great design, terrible material (pitcher)
Although the blending ability of this blender is INCREDIBLE, the blending vessel (pitcher) cracked after 5 months of light use (once every 2 weeks). The lid also stopped operating correctly (latching and unlatching). The unit was never dropped, only used properly and cleaned properly. It is NOT covered under Ninja's warranty. I will NEVER be buying another NINJA product because of VERY POOR quality in their pitchers and warranty policy that prohibits return or replacement of cracked pitchers or broken lids.

    Great for smoothies!
    A long time ago I had a much lesser and more common name brand blender, sounds like Shamilton Screech, anyway big chunks of ice every time I would try and make a smoothie. Now! This baby! It makes stuff so creamy you'll think it's ice cream, I love it! I'm pretty busy and don't normally have time to cook so I drink a lot of my meals and this will hold plenty enough for that. My only complaint, and I would imagine this is pretty common with ALL blenders, but this Ninja isn't very quiet. My rescue cat runs for her life and my daughter who has autism hates this thing. I live in apartments so I literally carry my blender across the hall to the laundry room just to make my smoothies but I don't think you would have this issue with non scaredy cats and neurotypical children. I would but this again though as it really does make a bomb smoothie.

    Nothing bad to say
    I've had a week and have made smoothies and icd coffee drinks w/ protein powder. Works well. On the larger side but, I knew that. I bought for its simplicity-no extra attachments (blades /cups). It's very powerful. Its volume is as expected - it sounds like a blender. Very satisfied with purchase.

    Love the Ninja!
    The Ninja rocks. I purchased a cheaper blender before this one and returned it. The Ninja will power through frozen bananas like a boss. I can walk away from it while it is turning my frozen items into a smoothie and it stays put. And, it holds a lot in the large pitcher. I am very happy!

    Great blender
    I was very impressed with the quality and many uses of the Ninja Professional Blender. It has lots of power and several settings for making all kinds of delicious treats. It comes with a recipe book with lots of ways to enjoy fresh fruit smooties, making frozen sorbet, crushing ice, and many many more. You will always find something yummy to make with this blender. I would definitely recommend this product to all my friends and family.

    Powerful
    Ninja blender is so awesome! Easy to install and put together. It's a little heavy but it works great for making lots of things. Made a blueberry smoothie and the blender worked amazing. Also it has a good pour out spout. it was very easy to use. The best part was that it was easy to clean. Love that it was powerful.

    Now my husband thinks he is a professional
    My husband has taken over this blender. He said it is for professionals and he is the only one that can use it. This blender is so very nice. It has more blades than I have ever seen on a blender. It is so large that we can make enough milk shakes for our 5 person family in one shot. It makes perfectly smooth drinks. Be careful, this machine will make your husband start blending things in the house that should not be blended. My husband absolutely loves this machine.

    Amazing blender
    I really like this blender. It does what it is supposed to do. The blades are super sharp so that it can chop up the ice fast and into small pieces. When you put ice in it and start it up, it is super loud, because of it chopping up the ice. We made strawberry daquiris in this blender and it was amazing how well it blended the ingredients together. Even got the fresh strawberries chopped into smaller pieces. I really like the fact that the pitcher, lid and blade are all dishwasher safe. Just be careful when putting the blade into and taking it out of the dishwasher as the blades are extremely sharp. The water does leak down into the handle of the pitcher, as shown in the picture below, but that does not effect anything. It does not build up in there, it just leaks a bit and there are drops of water in it. The buttons are really easy to push and it is easy to wipe up the base. I highly recommend this blender.

    Blends smoothies and has nice safety features
    No digging bits of fruit out of the smoothie with the Ninja Professional Blender. This blender has many enhanced features, such as the locking ability at the bottom and lid of the blender. When the blender connects to the bottom it locks into place. The picture that I provided, shows the locking at the bottom. When the lid is up, it is not locked into place; however, when the lid is placed securely down, it also locks. These are nice safety features, due to the blades inside the blender. Better to be 100% certain that the blender is locked into place. The blender has a built in pour spout, which saves time and a mess when pouring smoothies into cups. The pitcher is wide and large, holding 72 oz or 2.15 liters. The handle seems ergonomic, because it is easy to handle and pour smoothies into cups. A feature that we like is the storage of the cord in the base, to save space on the counter. This blender is powerful crushing chopped fruit and ice into a delicious smoothie in seconds. This blender also crushes ice into snow, for a childhood favorite ice drink when it is warm outside. Or into my tea, when I'm getting ready to run errands on a hot day. I'm confident that salsa could be made using this blender, but that is something on my list of uses for this blender.
