I'am the only one in my house hold that drinks coffee so this is a perfect size. I don't have to use a a large paper filter to make my 4 cups. Its made very well , I think I might order the larger one for when I have company.

Has wire on bottom of filter
It's a very well-made product. The problem is that the botton of the filter is wire, not plastic. When the water goes over the coffee grounds, they go through instantly. The coffee comes out very weak. The original Black and Decker filter had a plastic bottom where the ground sit. I removed the new wire filter and went back to using the one that came with it. The bottom of the filter HAS to be solid plastic to allow enough time for the coffee to release from the grounds!

    The filter made my coffee cloudy looking and tasting unusual. I washed the filter several times but my coffee is still cloudy. Im using paper filters now.

    Disappointed
    I thought this filter would keep the grounds out of my coffee but I ended up with a filter full of grounds and what a neusiance to have to still have grounds in my coffee. I tried adding a paper filter and the same thing happened. Grounds and I don't want them going down my sink and into my septic tank. I will never order another product from Mr. Coffee.

    I am very pleased with this reusable filter. It fits my little Black and Decker coffeemaker perfectly. It makes good coffee and tea. It is certainly better for the enviroment than paper filters. And it arrived early. Smiling as I drink a cup of coffee right now....

    FINALLY................A FILTER THAT FITS
    I have a Black & Decker 5-cup automatic coffeemaker that did not come with a permanent filter, so I had to start using messy paper filters. I looked all over in the retail stores and on-line and was not able to find a permanent filter that would fit a coffee basket as small as mine.............all of the ones I found were very large and made to fit 8 to 12 cup coffeemakers. Finally I found this filter on the Walmart website and it fits perfectly even though it says that is is for a 4-cup coffeemaker. What the filter manufacturers don't realize is that most single people don't own huge coffeemakers and don't make 8 to 12 cups of coffee at a time. They own the smaller 4 to 6 cup coffeemakers and it is almost impossible to find permanent filters to fit the coffee baskets on these smaller machines.

    Fits the 4-cup Mr Coffee coffeemaker perfectly!
    My mother accidentally threw out her permanent filter when her old 4-cup Mr Coffee died. I had to buy online because they seem to have only cone shapes in the stores. Fits perfectly.... works beautifully!
