A great no frills (attachments) vacuum cleaner!
A great no frills (attachments) vacuum cleaner! Definitely light weight and easy to move around the room or take upstairs. Super long cord, 35'? Sucks like nothing we have seen before. Excellent for my wife's allergies. Easy to change bags, and it is nice to have the switch near the handle grip and not hidden elsewhere. We are happy!

VERY GOOD
Powerful, inexpensive and light-weight - three important things; deserves 5 stars I put 4 stars because of two things: - it's noisy, which can be important too - it does not have those standard tools to clean sofa or bookshelves - they are not included at all. Most vacuums have them, I was actually surprised they are not included. Good Luck!

    Love it!
    A relative recommended this vacuum to me. I was complaining that my new laminate flooring was difficult to keep clean since I have cats. The daily chore of sweeping and using a dust mop was time-consuming. She said to get an Oreck. To be honest, I had not even considered vacuuming my floors. I was afraid of damaging it. She assured me that this would not damage the floor. She was right. I so wish I would have purchased this sooner! I ordered this, and it arrived within 2 days. Amazing! It was super easy to assemble. I could not believe how light it was. I have pain issues in my arms and shoulders, and this vacuum practically self-propelled. It has strong suction, and I use it on both my floors and area rugs. I do agree with other online reviewers that comment on this being loud. It is, but I don't care. What I care about is performance. This met and exceeded my expectations. I also love this vacuum because it has a bag. I do not care to clean out a canister full of allergens, so a disposable bag is wonderful. I highly recommend purchasing an Oreck. Especially if you want to use it on laminate or hardwood flooring.

    No more mess
    I got tired of having to constantly stop vacuuming to empty the canister on my bag less"pet" vacuum. It was a huge mess every time. I have three dogs two of which have long hair and it is always all over! The Oreck does a great job of picking up the hair and keeping it contained in the bag. No more mess and no ordors to complain about! I vacuum once a week and have yet to change the bag due to it being full of hair, unlike the bag less vacuum I had. Only down side it I still have to use a shop vac to clean the furniture as there is no attachments or hose to clean with. It is really light compared to the bag less models I have used! The cord is really long, I can plug it in downstairs and make it to the landing at the top and still have more cord to go! Great product, wish I would have bought one sooner!

    A great, lightweight vacuum that is easy to use and very efficient and will last a long time. I purchased for our church and it gets used every week a lot. Never a complaint. This is the 3rd one we have purchased and wouldn't buy anything else. It is small and easy to work around many objects.

    Lightweight, Basic Vacuum
    I have just recently purchased this product so I don't have any input as to how long it will last, but so far, so good. It is light and easy to carry and push around. The upright handle part can be lowered to lie totally flat in order to vacuum under chairs, tables, and beds without having to move the furniture, which is a big plus. (One tip if you do buy this one: there is not a foot button to push in order to lower the handle, you simply place one of your feet on top of the blue base for leverage, while at the same time lowering the handle. That was not explained in the owner's manual and it took me a while to figure out how to lower the handle in order to push it around.) The vacuum is not too terribly loud as I had feared from reading other Oreck reviews. It picks up debris quickly on the first or second pass, on both low-pile carpets and bare floors. It has a bag, which is what I was looking for. The cord is plenty long. There are no attachments on this model, but that's okay, as I have another smaller handheld vacuum for that. Overall, I would recommend this product if you just want a basic, lightweight vacuum for your floors .

    Outstanding. Don't look any further!!
    This vacuum will pick up anything. I mean whatever u throw at it is going into the bag no matter what. Two swipes and done. It does not have any attachments but I would rather have this vacuum and purchase a small canister vacuum for any reason I need to have attachments. The bag is monstrous and holds a ton. Have had it for two months and shows very little space used. The vacuum also puts out scented baking soda allowing for a very clean smell. I see this vacuum laying for a long time. The cord is extremely long and I don't have to switch outlets at all for each floor. Would buy again and again. It does not make sense to keep buying vacuums in the $80-100 range when the break or lose suction. Be smart and you will be happy with this vacuum. Oh and it's light too!!

    Great vacuum for low pile carpets!
    This vacuum is lightweight and cleans great. It picks up everything in its path. I bought this one for my daughter. I have had one for years and it still works great! I watched videos of the Shark vacuum vs the Dyson and they leave pieces because the front keeps the vacuum from picking up small things like cheerios. I have no problem cleaning up bigger pieces with the Oreck. Because it is so lightweight, I can clean my stairs easy. It does not work as well on high pile carpets because it does not raise making it hard to push and pull. It is the perfect vacuum for low pile carpets. I was introduced to the Oreck by a cleaning company that cleans homes and offices.

    Light Vacuum
    I wanted a lightweight easy to push vacuum. This vacuum is great that way. The commercial cord is a bit stiff but will hopefully soften up over time so it moves more easily when vacuuming. It is a bit loud too. It is fairly easy to tip and roll across hard surface floors when done vacuuming to return it to the closet but it won't roll easily on carpets when turned off so need to either pick it up and carry it or run the vacuum until you are right in front of its storage place.

    GREAT VACUUM!!
    This vacuum is very light and easy to maneuver, and it does an amazing job at getting up the dirt on floors and carpets! I have a very bad knee and my older vacuum weighed so much and was hard to push - this Oreck just glides over the carpet. Very easy on my bad knee. Be aware that it does not come with any attachments, but if I really need them, I just get out my older vac. I would highly recommend this product - I love this vacuum!!
