ORTHO FIRE ANT KILLER MOUND TREATMENT WORKS BUT STILL NEED BOTH TYPES
Great product on each mound but one still needs to spring for the Ortho MAX FIRE ANT KILLER used with a spreader. PLUS, GET YOUR NEIGHBORS TO DO THE SAME OR DONT BE SURPRISED FOR ANOTHER ROUND A FEW MONTHS LATER !!!

I sent two requests to cancel this order, shipper refused to acknowledge cancellation request and shipped it; my wife accidently opened the product without knowing and I guess now I am stuck with it.

    Please provide MSDS sheets on your website.
    I was able to get the product I wanted but I work for the State of Florida and our organization requires that we submit a chemical approval when we purchase certain things and I was unable to find the necessary Material Data Safety Sheet (MSDS) that I needed on your website.

    Killed the fire ants like it should
    It worked, but I am not a big fan of having to water it in, which requires you to drag a hose, or a bucket, with you. Fine for a small yard I suppose, but kind of a pain when walking a larger yard looking for mounds to treat. Accustomed to using other brand of granules that let you just treat and go.     Ortho Fire Ant Killer Mound Treatment does exactly what it says. I was very carefully to follow the directions. I made sure I didn't apply a single grain on the mound. The ants vacated within the allotted time. In 5 mounds I found only one ant. I liked the way the directions explained in detail how much & where to apply the product.     Worked. Can't ask for more than that.
    I guess something about the weather this year increased our fire ant population and we have mounds all over our yard making everything from trying to barbecue to taking out the trash a hazard. We bought this and were able to quickly rid the heavily used areas of our yard of the fire ants. In the past we have used treatments that take much longer so we were pleased to have this work so quickly - we applied it on a Wednesday and didn't really have a look outside again, but Friday the paths were clear and we could safely take up our weekend activities! Very pleased.

    It works!
    I love this product, I have lots of acerage so ants are everywhere. I put this out around my yard are to keep the ant hills down. My grandchildren play in the yards and the last thing I waant is a child to be bitten. I spread this around the perimeter of the yard and it keeps ants away. I also apply it to the mounds and they are killed within a day.

    Fire Ants
    Used this on some fire ant mounds and did see some dead one on top of mound but am still having a problem with them.To be fair it rained for two days after application so could have affected the product.
