THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK.
First off, let me start off by saying that I read all directions and followed them exactly as they specified. However, this product doesn't work. I bought the double pack, enough to cover my lot. The ants didn't die. They just moved to a spot beside the old mound and created a new one. Keep in mind, the new spot had product on the ground, because I sprinkled the product all over my lot. I definitely will be looking for another product that actually kills the mound. I definitely DO NOT recommend this product. I wish I knew how to get my money back. I basically wasted the money that I paid for the product.

    Kills fire ant nests every time.
    Orthene is the only thing I've found that works every time to get rid of fire ant mounds. I keep one container with my lawn mower and another in the garage. The results are not instant - the ants get the Orthene dust on them, carry it throughout the nest and usually within a day or two they are gone. Orthene doesn't prevent ants from returning to your yard, but it does kill active nests every time.

    A little powder goes a long way. Simply lightly dust the ant mound and ants will be gone next day. Expensive but cheaper than other methods when you consider effectiveness and not having to reapply or water-in. It does have a pungent odor.

    Great item that works very well.
    This ant killer works even when it does not cover the entire mound. I checked a big mound that I only had enough ot this ant killer to cover only half the mound
