Wouldn't be without one
I have always had an Otter box on my I phones from the day I get them. When I sold my last I phone it looked brand new. (And I got top dollar for it)

Great Improvements
After using my new OtterBox Defender for iPhone 7 for a week, I've had an overall great experience. After going from an iPhone 5 to an iPhone 7, I am very impressed with how OtterBox has improved the quality of all their components, starting with the screen protector. The iPhone 7 Defender built-in screen protector now includes a thin film that goes over the thumb print scanner! It does not interfere with unlocking your phone AT ALL. It is my favorite new feature of the Defender series. The only thing I do not like about the new slip cover, is the cover for the charging port. As seen in the picture, instead of bending towards the back of the phone, it bends upwards creating the slip cover to come unattached from the shell (as seen in the picture). This allows dust and crud inside to get in between the shell/slip cover. Again, I've only had the case since September 16th (when I got the iPhone 7). Overall, I would recommend the OtterBox Defender for iPhone 7. It provides great protection while still in a relatively thing design.

    Best iPhone Protection
    I had a 5s iPhone that was dropped a lot during the five years that I used it until the battery swelled and I needed to replace the phone with a newer SE model. An Otterbox Defender Series protection case was purchased with that phone and it protected the phone to look like new when I finally replaced it. I had no hesitation to purchase another Defender Series to protect the new SE phone. This case is a rugged and hefty case that comes with a plastic screen protector built in so that you don't have to buy one separately. It has fairly thick rubber and feels substantial in your hand, but doesn't add a lot of weight to the phone. The case is easy to open if dust gets under it to clean the phone (and the case itself), but that doesn't happen too often since the Defender case is very snug and protects the phone. The case buttons align perfectly to the iPhone buttons and the connection ports. I used the included belt clip/stand that came with the old case and that plastic clip broke about a year into owning the phone while I was walking down an airport terminal dropping the phone to the hard tile floor, but the phone was well protected during the fall. Otterbox replaced that belt clip/stand for free and it again lasted about another year or so before the clip broke again. I really didn't need to use the clip anymore, but it does make a decent stand for the phone. The clip just has a weak point in the plastic that fatigues after some time of use. After five years the older case was suffering from some fatigue and stretch on the rubber, but that's a lot of use over time. The new case is virtually the same as the older one with a few slight changes to accommodate the different style of the newer iPhone. The protection covers for the charging port and the sound switch have thicker rubber which is good. The case is thick enough to protect the camera lens on the back, cleans easily and has already protected the phone from a few drops. I have the black color just because it shows less damage marks or wear. I hope that it will last as long as the previous case and so far, after a month or two, it's been doing a great job. Nothing in the plastic or rubber appears to degrade the signal on the phone. I definitely recommend this case if you are rough on your phone and want good protection.

    It's exactly what it says it is
    It's a great case! I love the color, a brighter blue than I'd expected, but lovely. You can just tell it's good quality when you fit it on the phone. It's snug and perfect and while I never feel completely safe with throwing my phone on my bed when I get home, this is about as close as I'll come to that. The defender is fantastic protection. Well, I've only had this one for a week now, but I'm expecting it to stand up to my expectations. Had my other defender (on the SE) for 4 years before the rubber flap over the headphone port came off, and even then the phone was still safe (not a scratch, and I work on a farm and have done all kinds of crazy things with it untouched). Here's to the same great lifespan with this one!

    Nothing better than Otter Box
    Dropped my phone & it got ran over by a forklift with a full pallet of pop. Easily 2500 lbs. My phone was still fully functional! Any other case & I guarantee my phone would've been dust. Upgraded my phone and they tried to tell me no Otter Box options available. So I ordered one online. Committed to you guys for life.

    Perfect fit
    The case fits snug on my iPhone just like the Otterbox that I had bought for my 12.9 iPad a couple years ago did and still does. Holding my phone with it on there is much nicer now with the grip and thickness. Over the last two years my iPad has been dropped several times and has never been damaged, and I'm sure this Otterbox will provide the same protection for my phone. The feature I like best on both Otterboxes is that you can flip the clip/stand piece around and it totally covers and protects your screen. Also the built in clear touch screen protector works perfect and with the one on my iPad being over two years old I'm amazed that there's still no blemishes/marks on it. It works and looks like the day I bought it, actually the whole Otterbox looks good still. The screen protector, and the drop protection that it has offered for my iPad over the years is why I purchased this Defender case for my phone.

    Almost Indestructible
    I purchased an Otterbox Defender to protect my I-Phone 4s back in 2011. I have dropped this phone many times over the years, however, the ultimate test came when I dropped it from my tractor. My tractor weighs just under 8000lbs with the bucket empty, but on the date in question the bucket was full. At the end of the day I missed my phone so I backtracked where I had been and I found it. It had been not only run over by the front wheel of the tractor, but while the phone was under the wheel I made a hard steering to the right to clear an object that was in my way so my phone was ground into the soil by a heavy tractor. When I saw what had happened to my phone, my heart sank as I knew there was no way a phone could survive this. I brought the phone back to the house and started taking the Otterbox Defender case off the phone. To my surprise the phone was intact and still worked with not even a scratch on it. The otter box case was even able to still be used after extensive cleaning as the only damage was, that the hard plastic was chipped on the side. About a year later, I again dropped my phone from my tractor, only this time it landed face down in my gravel driveway and I again run over it with my tractor. Believe it or not the phone still works, however, it suffered a cracked screen this time and also it was time for a needed upgrade so I did not have it repaired. I purchased an I-Phone 7, and I again purchased the Otterbox defender to protect my new phone since I have come to know from experience that this case is almost indestructible.

    Good investment!
    I had an OtterBox for my iPhone 8. The phone came out of holder and fell through the tracks of the snow cat and got run over. The case saved my phone.

    Fantastically Durable Case
    I have had 3 iPhones so far (5s, 6s & 8) and I have had an otterbox on all of them because my phones come with me to the horse barn and on trail rides. Otterbox has saved my phones from cement floors, dirt roads and gravel roads. It's also saved my phones from being sandwiched between horses when trails got crowded! Excellent cases!! I highly recommend the Defender Series cases! They are tough! My only issue is lack of colour choices. I prefer the cooler purple tone my iPhone 5s case had over this plum haze one my iPhone 8 currently sports.
