My favorite case, but damaged
I had the Defender series case for my Galaxy S4 and loved it. It withstood any drop, kept out dust, and prevented scratches. Then I got the Galaxy S7 edge and had trouble finding a case that I could really trust. When I heard that Otterbox was making a Defender for the S7 edge, I was so excited. When I finally got it I could see that it offered even better protection than the Defender series of the past. I did have one problem however; the underside of the screen protector was severely scratched out of the box. This looks awful when I'm watching videos and the like. I love this product, and would definitely recommend it. I just wish the huge scratch was gone.

Horrible.
I've been a long time Otterbox Defender using, going back to Note 3, Note 4, Note 5, and now my S7 Edge. They have always worked flawless, until now. I was hesitant to get one because of the screen design on the Edge, but did so anyways. This protector is horrible. I have to press down really hard 2 or 3 times to press any buttons. It takes 5 minutes to send a simple text because it takes so long to type out. I thought maybe it was because of a small gap between the screen protector and the phone, so I tried putting some paper behind my phone to act as a shim and close any gap. No good. That didn't work. Its not the screen sensitivity. It works great without the case. So, all in all, the Defender series case for the S7 Edge is horrendous, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

    Ehh
    I have purchased the defender series for my Samsung S7 edge . The reason i bought it is because my previous case didnt offer the protection that this one does. The only drawback is that i have trouble with the touchscreen responding to my moves and it is very frustrating.

    Better than expected
    Have been using this case for a month and love the fact my phone is extremely safe in it. I have a s7edge and dropped it with another case and broke the screen. When I replaced the phone I knew I had to replace the case. The defender series is a great case, easy to put together, multiple layers of safety and the screen protector that comes with the case does not hinder the touchability of the screen. It is not as big an bulky as I thought it would be but does add a little weight to the phone. I will not purchase another phone without the defender case.

    Frustratingly difficult to use
    The front panel, unlike previous OB defender cases, makes it difficult to use keyboard with any efficiency. The characters along the curved edge require the user to press extremely hard in order to select the keys. It ultimately takes longer to type anything. It was extremely frustrating. I finally had enough and replaced the case. It's a shame because the defender has always been the best case on the market. Now it's unusable. I did replace it with a Symmetry case, but I do not believe the phone will be as protected.

    Screen protector is bad. Too thick/unresponsive
    I have the defender series for a couple weeks now. It is terrible to try and type with this case. Other than that I feel it is protected like my old phones with otterbox cases. They made all the other ones fine, but this one is annoyingly overprotective now it seems.

    Screen Protector not great
    I just received my Otterbox defender a few days ago and my initial reaction was that this was a fantastic phone case and well worth the money because it looked like it was built to fit the Samsung galaxy S7 edge however this opinion soon changed when I put the case on my phone. The big issue I have is the in-built screen protector which I noticed has clarity issues on the bottom left of the screen - the rest of the screen protector is fine but this area have what I can only describe as a sparkle or a sort of condensation effect. I have removed the screen protector and wiped it down but it has not made a difference and is extremely irritating (and I am not picky when it comes to this sort of thing) The least I would expect when spending this sort of money is for Otterbox to run adequate quality checks before shipping out their products to consumers. I have heard that trying to claim on the warranty would mean paying for the postage and packaging of a replacement - if Otterbox are that confident of their products they would not charge for this. I am very unhappy and would not recommend this product and although I have uploaded a photo unfortunately it does not do the issue enough justice.

    Loss of sensitivity
    Case does protect the phone. You lose a hair of the edge due to the case which does not bother me. The problem I found is the screen is not completely clear and there is definitely a loss of sensitivity of the screen. When trying to type, sometimes you have to press harder for the letters to actually show up. At times, when trying to maneuver through the screens, it takes several swipes for the phone to recognize what you are trying to do. Overall, its a good case, just wish we hadn't lost the sensitivity of the screen.

    The only case to have on your device
    A phone without an otter box, is begging for trouble. It is the ultimate, in protection of your investment. My last phone is still in excellent condition, and it's over two years old, because of OtterBox. I like the design on this new case. It's more compact than before. And the wrap around, on the edge is perfect. It doesn't just fit your phone, it's made for it, specifically. Don't buy a new device without buying an OtterBox, too.

    Great Protection, but typing is a pain.
    Had the case for 8 hours and love it aside from the screen protector. The glue on the right side is visible a bit more than the left, and sensitivity is the key annoyance mainly on the bottom row when typing. Still the best on the market though.
