wonderful grass seed
The low maintenance grass seed 5 in 1 is so great to have on hand it is so simple to use and requires hardly any maintenance to it since I have used the 5 in 1 grass seed I have seen grass coming up I am so impressed with this because before spreading this grass seed I had some bare spots in my yard that were eye sores but since adding the grass seed my yard has come to life with new blades of grass coming up I really like how it is for either sun and shade that is perfect because some bare spots in my yard was in shaded areas now my yard has everything good that came from this grass seed to make my yard healthy and to grow beautiful grass I am happy with this great 5 in 1 grass seed.

Promix Premium Low Maintenance Sun
I followed the directions to the letter - had gardener mow, dethatch and put down five 7lb bags of seed to bare areas and to overseed rest of lawn. Watered twice a day (kept sprinklers on 4 extra weeks) and haven't mowed (as instructed). After 3 weeks zero new grass has sprouted. Walmart had on sale at end of season. I didn't save bags as I didn't expect this problem. I still have receipt since I bought other items. Between gardener and watering this was a costly disappointment. Not sure if grass seed old?

    Amazing is the word to say for the grass seed 5 in 1. I just love how it has my lawn look now much greener and thick. And I will be buying more so that I can finish up with my yard. So that my whole yard will have a flesh new make over.

    Minor improvement?
    I'll admit, my application probably didn't follow exactly what would be recommended, but it's called "low maintenance" so asking spreader to till the earth first is probably a bit much. I watered and used a shovel to break up the hard texas dirt and then applied heavily to a total area probably half the size the bag can cover. After 1-2 weeks there were some patches of new grass, but after 4 it really didn't get much better. I did water every day and it's been particularly rainy of late. Pics of before and after below. I have seeded before with other products and gotten better results, so maybe just not a good seed for TX/my yard.

    When I had a shed torn down the ground beneath needed to be planted with grass, and the area around it needed a little spot repair. After spreading the seed by hand I watered the grass every day 2-3 times as instructed for the first week. On day 8 about 1/2 inch of growth could be seen, and continuing to keep the area moist over the next week helped more of it to pop up. One mistake I made was not adding topsoil to some of the very red Tennessee dirt, and the grass seed has not grown very well in the area farthest away from the house -- the area that gets the most sun. Oddly this is sun & shade mix, but the seed closest to the house with the most shade has grown very well. I will purchase another bag and add some topsoil to the area where the seed didn't grow to see if that helps, and this is the only reason I rated 4 of 5 stars. The grass that has grown so far mixes in well with the other grasses in the yard, has a soft feel and is a beautiful green. Looking forward to the "low maintenance" part of my new lawn.

    Super easy seed
    I got this seed a few months ago as I've been looking to cover a few bare patches in my backyard. Overall the process was incredibly easy - I prepped the soil, put the seed down, and with some light regular watering, I had coverage in no time. I highly recommend for anyone looking for an easy and low-maintenance grass seed!

    Results!!
    I got this seed in the mail about 3 weeks ago and applied it to my yard right away. The grass has already started growing! It has not taken much effort to get it going just an occasional watering. It covers well too

    Actually grows in the shade!
    Low Maintenance Grass Seed 5 in 1 from Pro Mix has really impressed me. I few years back I planted a Giant Empress tree in my front yard and while the tree itself is very beautiful, it killed all the grass underneath it, due to a lack of light. No grass would grow in this this spot, I tried many different brands of grass seed and none of it would grow, highly frustrated i had given up ever having luscious grass in this spot again. Pro Mix was my last resort, I figured I would try it although I was not expecting any real results.... I was wrong. Within one week of planting the grass seed (ensuring that I watered the area every day), I was surprised to see ting grass shoots erupting in the muddy area under my tree. Now after two weeks, I am starting to see real grass, everyday I come back and it seems like there is more and more grass. to the point where I actually have hope that this grass will continue to grow and I will finally have the look that I desire in my front yard. This product is extremely simple to use, just prepare your soil before hand, sprinkle the seed and ensure that you water everyday as directed. I LOVE how easy it is to grow grass with this seed and I thoroughly recommend you purchase it, even if you have given up all hope in those shaded areas. This is a great product and I will be purchasing more in the future as I have other areas in my yard that could also benefit.
