Great gameplay, text is kind of smaller especially on Switch Lite.

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/08/2021Good gameIt was fun and had some similarities to the original. I'm not a big fan of the way they set up the fights/battles, but other than that it is a good game.Ryan

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/17/2021Goo addition to the Paper Mario seriesFun game so far. Battle system isn't as great as the early versions of the series, but otherwise a great addition to the franchise.Shawn

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/01/2020Charming and Fun game, but not an RPG Paper MarioIts a very charming and fun paper Mario game! Improves on the previous two paper Mario games, but still lacks a true RPG leveling system. The story is a little left to be desired but it makes up for it with the overwhelming attention to charm in the dialogue, characters and each area design. The gameplay is puzzle based battles, lining enemies up to get a damage bonus. Fun for a while, but random enemies start to be annoying. I did enjoy the boss battles though! The world and levels are stunning and finding toads is lots of fun! In summary: don't expect to play an RPG Paper Mario, but the fun is in the worlds you explore and the character dialogue and world building!Tallen761

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/25/2020Love it, back closer to the original but new twistMy wive loves the retro references and the style closer to the original Paper Mario. She loves the exploration. The battles are very different and you have to match up patterns and create an attack path. This frustrated her to death at first, not being math or process oriented but she is picking it up and is starting to like the battles more. We are not done yet but so far it is great! It can be frustrating when the attacks leave you with little or no complete attack options. But I enjoy the patterns and planning out Mario's path for the attack. We recommend it for families of all ages. The trick is to read the scroll out load. To hear the way they say things that way is great! But it is very much cut scenes and scrolls like the original.VMan24601
