Its a nice sized dog house. Its sturdy. The only issue I have is the bottom part was busted near the corner on one of them and the lid was busted on the other. It has scratches on both. Its for the dogs and they will do worse to it so Im not returning them, its not worth packing them back to Walmart.

    Where are the screws
    It's really big and sturdy and would have recieved a 5 star rating but there were no screws to secure the top to the bottom

    Good doghouse.
    I got this on sale, for a really great price. I had bought a Suncast dog house that was $100, and I ended up returning it the next day because the plastic was so thin and seemed flimsy. This Petmate is also plastic, but it's heavy duty and has a sturdy, solid feel to it. It comes in just two pieces, a top and a bottom; and you literally just put the top part on to the bottom part. It's big enough for a standard size poodle, which is a large breed... if you use this size for a cat (or cats), it would be very spacious; it would be very roomy for small and medium sized dogs too. This gives good coverage for rain and winter. It's on my deck, but I wouldn't recommend putting this directly on the ground in the yard or anything, just for the fact that anything directly on the ground will get muddy and more likely to get wet inside of it. My 3yo can fit into it; and just like dogs, toddlers love hiding in snug places... he immediately sat down inside as soon as I got it. My dog took a few chicken bits, but he also eventually got in no problem, and now goes in on his own.

    first off the package was a disaster it was literally opened. To top it off the house was scratched and dirty from inside.

    Great Dog House for a Large Dog
    I extensively read the reviews on this item as I do with any item before making a purchase and because of the great reviews I decided to purchase two for my 2, 70-pound female lab dogs. I was impressed with the durability, construction, quality, and size of the dog house. My 170 pound, 5' 10 husband was even able to squeeze into it! I had two, plush dog beds that I kept in the house for my labs before buying this dog house and I put it in the dog houses for them and it fit perfectly. It is like a mini, luxury "condo" for them, LOL.

    NEW HOME FOR A LITTLE DOG
    our next door neighbor has a little dog that did not have a home..seeing her sit and lay on the cold ground everyday bothered me...went to walmart ..com and as always you had the best price so ordered it..got it and put some straw in it for her and now she is a new home owner...thank you for the great product...this is the second one i have bought ...so i know it is a good little dog house...thank you again and have a happy thanksgiving..

    2nd Dog House
    My dog said........but I already have a house. Got in it and wouldn't come out. He loved it. Kept him dry during our recent rains. Expecting a warmer place for winter. Easy to set up, clean and move it if needed. Great design.
