A smart buy
Use regular filter. Their direction called for folding over filter but the coffee was so weak. I really look forward to making my coffee.

We both used to use a Keurig coffeemaker, but my husband always said his coffee did not taste right. He only uses half and half, so has no sweetener to disguise any off flavors. And he drinks decaf (ugh) for medical reasons. So, when he said he wanted to use a percolator, I was happy to order one. So far, this make/model has worked out well. And the price was right.

    Very happy all around
    After 15 years of service from my Presto, it shorted out. I opted to replace it with this product. So far, very good. It brews well and makes great coffee (I use 8 level scoops). I like the indicator light that lets you know the brew cycle is done. The unit is easier to clean, especially the basket. The spout design does not allow coffee to run down into the base of the unit. I think this kind of dripping may have hastened the demise of my Presto unit. The price from this vendor was competitive. The unit arrived quickly. Very happy all around.

    Great Lasting Percolator at a Great Price!
    We've had the very same Percolator for almost 8 yrs. and have loved it. The AC Socket pins on ours have become worn/corroded such that even a new cord didn't work or seat properly. Since this pot is not very expensive, we decided to just buy another. We were very pleased with Walmart's pricing as we found several other sellers selling it for MUCH higher and in some cases double! We love perked coffee and we love the way it keeps it hot for several hours. The Stainless Steel design makes it easy to keep clean. The only thing we did to make it even better was to but a longer cord. the one that comes with it is only about 1 1/2' long. we use a 30" long cord making it easier to pick up and pour without being tethered to the wall. Highly recommend this Pot.

    This 6 cup percolator is absolutely adorable! Perfect for one person who likes to have one or two cups at home and bring the rest with them on the go. It's also a great size for two people that only drink two cups each and don't want any leftover coffee. Also a great size to bring to work as well for your personal office. Makes great tasting coffee. Very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend to others.

    Beyond pleased with this purchase! My first cup of coffee with this percolator convinced me that I had made the right decision to go back to a percolator!!! Works great and stays hot. I was dissatisfied with automatic drip and glad to be back to enjoying my coffee time. Well made and easy care. This coffee pot does not disappoint!

    Fantastic Coffee Maker!
    This is the first percolator I've ever bought, and I'm very happy with its ease of use and beautiful appearance. My old drip coffee maker broke, and in my search for a new one, I came across percolators. I read many reviews and watched a few how-to videos before I made my purchase, and I definitely made the right decision. Filters are optional, but I think using a filter improves the flavor of the coffee. You can make up to six cups at a time, which is perfect for me as a single person. I love how it matches my stainless steel appliances, and it keeps the coffee hot for quite a while even after the appliance is unplugged. I highly recommend this percolator!

    God, I love this coffee pot!
    I've tried Keurig, mr. Coffee, French press, stove top coffee pot- all of them started out ok but Keurig was expensive, mr. Coffee was fast but the taste of the coffee was only good for a month or so. French press was good for when the power ran out but didn't keep the coffee hot enough. Stove top coffee maker took too long but made really good and hot coffee but the plastic top fell apart. A friend of mine always swore by electric perk coffee so I thought I'd give it a try. I've had it for just under month and use it every day. It brews a cup a minute of great coffee. I use distilled water bc I have hard well water and use the paper filters I had from the mr. Coffee machine. The orange light goes on once the brewing is done and the coffee stays hot until you unplug the pot. Easy to use, easy to clean, prep the night before and just plug in when I get up. Great purchase.

    Perfectly Good Coffee
    Surprised and happy at the taste of my coffee. Gets good and hot. Takes ten minutes, and red light come on. It's ready. Makes three and a half tall cups, not six. Don't use the filters. Haven't had to. Prefer chemical free. Very little grounds left. If you want to make it with six or seven cups buy the 12 cup Presto. For one or two people this one is great. Easy cleaning, and not aluminum. Stainless steel is better for you to cook with. I will buy again.

    I love love love this percolator! Before I was using Keurig and loved it too but this percolator makes much better tasting coffee. Tip: Let it sit for a minute after the light comes on before pouring the first cup. The more it sits the stronger it'll be. I haven't ground my own coffee yet, using pre-ground Starbucks and Folgers so far.
