Caution: One time use only!
The instructions that come with the packaging tell you to "practice" with the device at ground level. Apparently, they only mean practice hanging it up. Because, if you pull any of the strap out to check the tension, you will not be able to reset it. This is like using a parachute packed by someone you will never meet. It may save your life, or it may fail. There are better options out there. Also, I note the weather seal on the seam does not go all the way across the top of the unit. Looks to me like moisture could enter on a warm day, and then freeze on a cold day, making the unit inoperable. So, under good conditions, this could save your life. Or, it could fail. And you won't know until you need it!

    Id love to give a review, howeverI have not fallen out of a tree yet, so I have no no way to accurately say if it works. All I know at this point is its a one time use item. Once and done. It trash after that. So lets just keep not falling out of tree stands for the time being.

    Good in theory, but not in practice. It is heavy and adds so much length that you can't easily put it in place. I only used once. A safety line with a Prusik knot is lighter and offers protection all the way up and down.

    Get one and don't be left hanging.
    Great! Very practical addition to my hunting backpack. It does take up room in your backpack and weighs a bit but I think it is worth it.
