Broken equipment
My equipment was broken the front plastic piece was broken. After putting it all together which took some time I noticed that the front was cracked however shipping it back taking it apart again and then waiting for another one to come is to much trouble so I guess Ill keep my broken equipment. The product seems very flimsy and Im greatly disappointed by the purchase

    A great Elliptical for home use
    Purchased 08/09/21...I am 64 years old and need Cardio, in the past I have always worked out on Life Fitness equipment in a gym but wanted to be able to get up in the morning and do my cardio and start my day from home not in a dirty gym. This Pro-Form Stride Trainer 380 is exactly what I have been looking for. This is not a piece of equipment to put in a professional gym but it sure does serve my purpose at home. I have been using it now for two weeks and love it. By the way I paid over $700 for mine, should have looked here first.

    Disappointed customer
    I was hoping that the reviews that I read about would not be true for me. However it was the same complaints. the elliptical makes this knocking noise and it makes this squeaking noise that we have tried to fix and nothing takes away this loud knocking sound as well as when you're on it it goes from side to side it is unstable I was hoping that I had better things to say about it but I wish I would have never purchased it I wish I just would have went ahead and paid more money and got the best

    The first few minutes were great. After the second use it starting squeaking. If squeaking doesn't bother you then this would probably be an okay purchase for you.

    You Get What You Pay For
    The machine does the job without much grace or added function/frustration. Assembly requires careful attention to instructions, and for instructions to be read in their entirety prior to assembly to be effective, but after that, assembly is relatively painless. The lubrication wears off the pedals pretty quickly so I had to buy additional grease for it. It is also incredibly light, so while it is easy to move, it also will rock from side to side during use. After you get used to this, you barely notice it, especially if you are listening to music during a workout. All in all it is about the experience I expected for the price, but at its core, it remains a competent machine that gives you a good cardio workout.

    My husband took a few hours to put it together but he said it wasn't hard. I have a problem with it using batteries too fast. I only using it 2 or 3 times a week about 7 min at a time.- I am hoping to build up to a longer ride- there is no way it should be using batteries this fast. last only about 3 wks before they are dead. Think I might call proform to see if mayb it's defective. I haven't read any reviews complaining about the battery life .other than that it works well. I noticed that it is the same exact elliptical that is by gold's gym also sold here.

    Terrible noise
    The installation was very cumbersome as the steps were not all that clear! However, after going back and putting it all together then the real problems started. It would creak and make a horrible grinding noise. After working with the support people at Pro-Form (did a live video chat) it was determined it was the pivot axle (pin) and the bushings which he had sent out to me free of charge, well it was still under warranty! After getting the parts it still had the horrible noise. Considering I spent over 2 hours to troubleshoot the issue the first time around I returned. I loved the compact size and the motion, Now after shopping and researching numerous makers and models it would seem this style of elliptical has the same issue. I will say that the support people at Pro-Form were excellent and a pleasure to work with. Just to be fair to Pro-Form I bought one of their treadmills and it is fantastic. Also I would commend Walmart for their return policy and how they had FedEx pick it up with no charge! Roll Tide!

    The 14 inch stride is perfect. When Other elliptical machines have a huge wheel they spread your legs too far apart and when they have tiny wheels they hurt your knees. This one is perfect. It feels very natural like jogging. However, I recommend paying extra for the professional assembly because it was difficult for me to put it together. I used a tiny file to make the holes larger in one of the parts so the bolts would fit through the holes. It takes AA batteries.
