Not all I thought
it says it is good for up to 140lbs. I have 2 boys 4 and 5. It works good for the one weighing 35lbs but not for the one weighing 46. It works well on the drive way and ok in the grass. Seems like it is made decent and looks cool. Good step between bicycle and motor dirt bike. We will be returning it though because I don't feel the longevity is there.

I don't write reviews often but this is an exception! I got this bike for my sons 7th birthday and he LOVES it! Very happy with this purchase. It takes some balance to ride on it so if your kid doesn't know how to ride a bike without training wheels, it might be a little difficult. Very happy with this purchase!!!! :)

    Awesome!
Great bike, bought it for my 7 yr. old; soon to be 8 yrs. Fits him perfect and so far well worth what we paid. The bike looks great. Sounds like a actual motor bike. Good speed for age recommend. Exactly what we expected. Plenty of directions and precaution warnings to inform you on maintenance/ safety. Comes with 90 days manufacturer warranty. Did not take to long to put together. My son loves it!

    My Son WILL GO BONKERS!
I have mixed emotions about this product. I received it for free from the SparkReviewer program in exchange for an honest review of the item. It was rather frustrating to put the front handle bar assembly and front tire on. The instructions and illustrations provided in the manual for these two areas needs more descriptive images. They only had one picture per item, and you had to "FIGURE OUT" what went where from there. The tool included to attach the front fender to the bike did not fit the bolt end, so that you could use the Allen wrench to tighten it in place from underneath. This may just have been a packaging error and they sent the wrong Hex wrench. I don't own a pair of pliers, so it took substantially longer to secure this one item into place with one screw. The next gripe I have is about the tire assembly. There were several parts lined up on the screw. The tire goes in the middle of this 6 piece arrangement. There's a barrel, washer and hook-looking part that goes on each side of the tire with a Hex bolt on the ends. You take this and run it through the wheel bracket at the bottom. Well the picture they included just showed all these parts suspended in the air and it did not show a picture of which part goes on what side of the wheel bracket. So when we screwed everything together, the only part outside the wheel bracket was the Hex bolt. Guess what happened? The wheel fell off. Why? Because that hook-looking part that was next to the washer on the inside of the wheel bracket, actually goes on the OUTSIDE of the wheel bracket and latches into this small hole under the Hex bolt. That little revelation took us nearly an hour to figure out. Children will probably go APE CRAZY HAPPY over riding this electric motorcycle, so Yay for the kids! But Parents will be frustrated if they can't figure out how that front wheel assembly actually goes before they tighten everything down the way we did. If the bike comes pre-assembled in the future, I wouldn't recommend single Mom's who are not Tool-Savy to buy this product.

    Very cool first motorbike!
This bike is a little heavy when it first arrives in the box, but it seems very sturdy. The assembly was very easy. As you can see from my pic, the bike comes mostly assembled. All that is needed is the front tire, handle bars, and a few other pieces. It took my husband about 20 minutes to put it together. You then have to charge it for 14 hours before you can actually ride it. (If you plan to give it as a gift, you may want to take it out and start charging it the day before so your kiddie doesn't have to wait to ride it). It does last about 40 minutes of actual ride time per full charge as advertised. I do have my son wear his helmet and pads for safety, as with any bicycle. It is recommended for ages 8 and up, but size has to be considered as well. My son is tall for a seven year old, about 4'4" and 60 lbs, and he has no trouble riding it. It does ride on short, firm grass, but not nearly as well as it does on concrete. I've experienced this with other electric riding toys as well. All-in-all, my little one loves it, and it makes a great first dirt bike!

    Awesome bike!
I just received the Pulse Performance EM-1000 Electric Dirt Bike, in the blue color and my daughter loves it! It took a little bit to set the bike up and wasn't too hard to do. The instructions were pretty easy to follow when setting it up. It also comes with all the tools you need to do it, which is great! This electric dirt bike goes up to 10 miles an hour, which a good speed for kids. You are able to ride this bike for about 30-40 minutes before having to charge it. The charger plugs right into the side of the bike and charges the battery. To go, all you have to do is twist the throttle on the right handle and the hand brake is on the left handle. Once you twist the throttle, the bike instantly goes forward. There is an on/off button on the side of the bike and there is also a restart button in case the bike shuts off. I noticed the bike shut off a couple of times when we were going up a steep hill, all we had to do was push the restart button and it would work again. The box says the weight limit for this box is 120 pounds but it rides well for me and I'm 130! Bottom line, I would definitely get this bike again! It is pretty awesome!

    Batterized Bike
I am doing a review of the Pulse Performance EM-1000 Electric Dirt Bike. It comes in blue or pink. I think it is made very well. The blue plastic parts do not look too flimsy. I think it will last for a while. I think kids will think it is actually a real motorcycle. This bike will give them a feeling of what it is kinda like riding a motorcycle. It will help give them the feeling of balance. I would even say this is a precurser to a motorcycle. This bike must be used on a flat pavement or flat grass with not rocks or leaves or other obstacles. It has to be ridden on either or grass or pavement and not at the same time. I'm saying this because my grandson did fine on the flat pavement but when he drove from the pavement onto the grass he almost went head over the hand rails. It is because the bike does not come with suspensions. I don't know what the bike would do if you hit a small rock. I will only allow my grandson to ride on the flat pavement. So keep this in mind. It seems to ride very smooth. It does not jerk when you first turn it on or start moving. The throttles work very well. The number 2 on the front of the bike looks very cook. The bike can go up to 10 mph. I did not let my grandson go that fast because he is just learning. It took me about 30 minutes to put it together. The instructions are precise and very clear. The first time the battery is charged it takes about 14 hours. I would recommend this bike if it is only ridden on a completely flat pavement. By the way, he had a great time.

Easy to Operate and Fun to Ride
This bike would make a great gift as it's so much fun for a child to ride. I know the little boy I plan on giving it to will be delighted. It's great for a starter bike while safely developing riding skills with it's simple operation. The bike requires only partial assembly. All tools except for a phillips head screwdriver were included. The front fender, wheel and handlebar were the only things needed to assemble which made it easy to complete in only 20 minutes. My first impression of this product was how solid and sturdy the frame was. It is rated for a child up to 120 pounds so I personally took it for a ride as my weight is in that range. I was impressed it held it's speed at almost a maximum weight load. I also tested it on an uphill grade and it had minimum loss of power. The bike however is small and the seat sits only approx 19 inches off the ground so it's difficult to comfotably accommodate knees. I fear this might be the case for a tall child as well. I'm 5'1. Operation is simple with it's twist throttle on the handle which is easily operated with the rider's thumb. I'm a big fan of this design as I find it safer than the whole hand twist as the chances of accidental acceleration are smaller. It alo has a simple pull back hand brake. it is rated for a child aged 8+ but being so simple to operate I would imagine a younger child who can ride a 2 wheeler would have no problem with this bike. Also for safety, even a small rider can easily touch the ground as it's so short. The bike is a neutral blue in color and looks sporty. It's tires are knobby and the front is puncture proof while the back knobby tire absorbs the bumps. I love tath the bike is quiet with it's electric motor. It has a rechargeable battery system allowing the bike to go cruising for 40 minutes riding time before recharging. It can be ridden almost anywhere including on and off road, grass, dirt and flat or bumpy terrain. The only issue I would have with this product is how small it is and how long the child will be able to enjoy riding it.
