Smooth
My daughter has been playing the clairnet for three years now and buying reeds are a regular occurrence. These are durable and smooth. The quality is superior compared to ones ised in the past. So glad we gave these a try.

Great Reeds
I Just Started Beginning Lessons Playing The Clarinet And I Was Using Different Reeds So My Instructor Was Pleasantly Surprised When I Recieved These Reeds And Tried Them . It Made A World Of Difference In The Sound And Quality When I Play My Clarinet . They Are Made Of High Quality And Durable And Great For Beginners . No More Squeaky Sound Or Sounding Raspy . I Highly Recommend These Reeds For All Clarinet Players .

    Rico Bb reeds
These reeds are great! I had to rescue my clarinet from the closet and clean it up to test them. I had a 2.0 of another brand in it and it never performed the way I wanted it to. This reed was a much better "fit" for me and the old friend. My Husky wasn't sure what to think as I warmed up, but I am happy. This is going to probably help me stretch my COPD lungs as well. Thank you, Spark and Rico! Forgot to get a picture of the reed itself, but my happy clarinet is shown below. Already put everything back in its place.

    Good reed
This is a good beginner or practice reed. It feels pretty smooth and is a nice quality. The reed has a standard spine, with a traditional blank and a thinner vamp profile. Each reed comes with its own protective plastic sleeve with air holes built in. D'Addario also has a player's circle where you can earn points on each purchase and then redeem them for gear or merchandise. A nice added bonus in my book.

    Donated to kids band class
I received these as a part of the walmart sparks revew program. I can't speak to their effectiveness. My son decided against a clarinet this year and went with a trumpet. So I donated them to his band class for any student that might need them. the girl they were given to was so happy. She said they were way better than the ones she had and didn't seem to wear out as quick. I was happy I could help someone in the class

    Great Brand
I have been playing clarinet for 7 years. Good texture, great sound, perfect size, great quality and no problems. I would buy them again and recommend them to others.

Great reed for beginner or casual players
My son just started playing the clarinet and sounds less like a dying duck now that he's started using these reeds. They have a neutral taste, but do go soft quite fast. But overall, I'm pleased. No cracking or splitting so far, and he has an easier time producing sound with these than the reeds that came with the clarinet. Our band teacher recommends this brand as well to all her woodwind players.

    Solid Beginner Choice
This is a great beginner reed! Reliable choice for good tone and sound while learning how to play the clarinet. I gave these to my aunt who is a middle school music teacher to have on hand for any student who ever finds themselves without one. As soon as I offered she immediately accepted! She loves to keep them for her students. The 2.5 strength in particular is her favorite, as it is a good strength to learn on. Not the best for more experienced clarinetists, but the product is true-to claims as perfect for students.

    Reeds
My son plays the clarinet for his high school and we have used many different reeds. This reed is a ongoing process for year ago. These reeds are perfect for all levels of playing. They can help reach higher notes with ease. They provide a good, smooth flowing sound.

Started Playing Again After 30 Years!
A good thing is the packaging has improved in the 30 years since I bought reeds! Individual protectors mean I won't be chipping reeds just taking them out of the package. Although my playing ability is lacking the 2.5 reed is forgiving enough to allow me to focus on building my chops back to a somewhat tolerable sound. The reed itself fits perfectly on the mouthpiece and is comfortable to play. I used to play more expensive reeds, but the quality of the Rico reed along with the superior packaging means that I will be sticking with this set up for the foreseeable future.
