    Truth about Chinese budget guitars
Looks good out of the box. But,Here's what needs to be done to make this guitar playable.First remove the tuners, the saddle, the nut and strings.Replace the cheap tuners with good set of tuners, replace the plastic nut and saddle with anything other than plastic and put a good set of strings on it.After that adjust the truss rod, fine tune the action and you'll have a really nice sounding guitar. So now you've got a $60. Guitar that needs at least $200 in parts and labor to be usable. So if you can't do all this yourself,I suggest going to your local music store and buying used or new where they can set it up to play good for the cost of the guitar.Be able and having the parts I'm only into it for cost of parts. This being a porch and lake Guitar it will work.

    Don't buy for beginners!
Who should buy this guitar? Intermediate/experienced guitarist who need a cheap throw around guitar, NOT for a beginner. I bought this as my first guitar and was able to learn basic strumming, chords, fingerpicking, etc. To me it was the perfect guitar, why would suckers pay $200 for a beginner guitar, right? Well, that perspective all changed once I went to an actual guitar store and played around with the entry level $200 guitars. The difference is night and day. The higher tier beginner guitars sound more mellow than this and more importantly have a lower action. my guitar skills were immensely better with the higher priced guitar, and finger fatigue was much lower. No buzzing, easier to go back and forth on frets, etc. Bottom line: This isn't a bad guitar to take with you to campgrounds, beach, bonfires, etc. If you already know how to play and have the fundamentals down this is a nice throw around guitar. If it's for a beginner, you'd be doing them a disservice starting off on this. They'll have a much much easier time on a better guitar and less likely to quit.

Great value for its purpose as a starter guitar
Great value and very affordable. Smaller size is great for kids or beginners. Does not sound bad. Need to tune a little more often but not a big deal. It might not sound as good as the Ibanez I have but it is great for the money and its purpose as a beginner guitar

    Keep Looking
This is a nice guitar if you don't mind buzzing on the frets. Some of the strings, particularly e, played the same pitch on three different frets. If your kiddo is serious about learning on a guitar, this is not the one for you. If you are searching for just a play/toy guitar it will work fine.

    Great Starter but nothing more
Solid Build and Great Color!! The head of the acoustic seems a bit off. The tuners are seemingly off kilter and although this is for my 10 year old daughter I myself see this as a mistake in production. The offset of the tuners make the strings almost rub together. Literally less than 2 mm of space when the strings run from the tuners to the nut of the gtr. Overall, YES I would recommend this for anyone looking for a starter. Just the whole tuner/nut thing was a bit annoying. Thanks! Chris
