Ready to give up dish...
I would love to purchase a 2nd unit for the bedroom TV. I would cancel Direct TV tomorrow as it is very expensive and there are so many choices with Roku. Probably won't get the rest of the household on board with that idea, but Ill keep trying. I was disappointed at first that I had to run out and buy an HDMI cable because it does not come with one, but then I realized that you should really buy it separately due to the length necessary being different for each location. I literally spent the entire last weekend, watching only the Roku

Has potential , but doesn't quite meet my expectations
This machine raves that it has great quality picture and speed. I also have the Roku express plus , and both machines are exactly the same , As far as performance . The premier is just a slow in the picture is not good 50% of the time . Mind you I have one of the best TVs out there it is 4K UHD . Picture is not maximized with this player .     I love my roku's!
    I love my roku's! I refuse to buy anything apple because nothing is free and you have to earn a degree before using it. I first tried Google's chromecast and don't like having to use my phone for watching TV. so I bought a roku and fell in love with its simplicity. and huge variety of free channels, live TV and unlimited premium choices. I decided to take down the chromecast and installed roku on all 5 TVs in my home. thanks roku, keep up the good work!

    4K works good, HDR is another story...
    I already had a Roku 4 which does 4k, but I wanted to take advantage of the HDR of my Samsung TV. I bought this Roku Premire+ specifically to upgrade to HDR. When you setup the Roku, it will auto detect your TV's output resolution and HDR capabilities. After setting everything up, it works intermittently. When it works it looks great, but so ofter my program will start and the colors will be hues of green and purple. A school bus looks purple, something is wrong. After several times disconnecting an reconnecting, the colors will go to normal. I replaced all the HDMI cables with brand new 4k HDR specific cables which cost a good amount and still had the problem. I called customer support, but they were not much help, they had me reset, it would for an episode, then the next one owuld be messed up. I have an XBox One S that also does 4k HDR output and it works without issues. I either have a bad box, or this one will not work with my HDR setup.

    I Like it very much; However I Love The Roku Ultra 4K Stream
    Only 4 stars because it lacks the voice recognition feature, the find the lost remote feature, and the USB Port feature. In my opinion the Roku Ultra is a far better choice than the Premiere+. Both are great and really fast. But for my money I would always choose the Ultra over the Premiere+. Also, the Headphones (earbuds) are a bit nicer with the Ultra.

    Finally done with cable, great product
    I hesitated as to what kind of streaming device to get because there were many on the market, and I was sick of the cable monopoly. I tried this one and Apple Play since both were rated good. Apple Play sucks-you have to pay for everything and nothing is free. The remote-still can't figure it all out. Occasionally the screen would freeze but it's possibly the cable connection. Roku was simple to install, super easy to use the remote (no pointing necessary), and there's a lot of options, especially if you use Netflix or Hulu. Hope that helps.

    This Premiere device works great.
    I purchased this to replace a Roku MHL stick. I was having wi-if problems with the MHL stick because it mounted behind my Pioneer receiver ,but the new premiere Roku sit next to the TV and streaming is no longer a problem. I had to purchase a HDCP converter 2.2 to 1.4 in order for this to work. My Samsung UHD 4K curved tv did not support 2.2.

    Couldn't Be Happier With My Roku Premier+
    I've had my Roku Premier+ for more than a month and I watch TV every day. The features are awesome from the user friendly platform to the simple yet stealthy remote. I love how easy it was to set up and how the picture quality and sound is identical to cable TV.
