I've bought three
I bought one Roku premiere and hooked it up to my 32" flat screen, after having bought a TCL Roku TV for my dad. It never buffers, it has a clear picture and I've used my existing Netflix account to access content. I've added Sling TV for $20 and we've completely canceled Direct TV saving $60month. It's great! I bought two more Roku premiere devices to upgrade 21" flat screen for my dad's bedroom, and for my brothers 55" flat screen at his house. We're never going back to dish or direct TV!

Very Bad Lip Sync Issues
The Speed of the Device is Very Good. The clarity of the image is Very Good. However, the lips are not in sync with the dialogue. If you go to the Roku forums, you will see that this has been a terrible problem with all of the most recent higher end Roku boxes. It plagued the 4 series and now it is even present with the Premier series. I wanted one with 4K, so I got this one. As soon as I got it running it showed the problem. This was on a 1080p TV via HDMI. I have two other Rokus, including a cheap $35 stick, which I got a year ago. They all work perfectly, with no lip sync issues whatsoever. I am going to return it today, and will not buy any more Roku problems until the user community indicates that this issue has been fixed. (Users have been complaining loudly to Roku for over a year, and they have done absolutely nothing to address the problem. The cheaper Roku sticks may work fine, but I haven't checked a new one to verify it yet. Suffice it to say, I'm keeping my old slow, clunky interface one...at least it doesn't have lip sync issues.

Roku Premiere, An Affordable Way To Get Cable TV
The Roku streaming player which accompanies this Important Product information ("Player") allows you to stream online entertainment to your TV. A Roku account is required to activate the Player. When you sign up for a Roku account, you will be asked to provide your contact information and a payment method. A paid subscription or another form of payment may be required to access some channels or content. Channel availability is subject to change and varies by country. You need to check with each channel provider for specific bandwidth requirements to stream its 720p and 1080p HD content. The Roku Premiere supports 4K content, so make sure to check with the 4K channel provider for specific bandwidth requirements to access its 4K content. The Roku Premiere Internet TV Streamer Player is an affordable way to get cable tv in HD format at a far cheaper price than from Xfinity, Verizon, Optimum, etc. Thousands of network on-demand tv and movie channels are at your fingertips when you want to watch them. The Roku is a small, black, rounded rectangle. Measuring 3.3 x 1.4 x 0.5 inches, it's tiny, which is not a problem — but it's also extremely light, which is. It's very simple to set up. You just plug in an HDMI cable between the Roku Premiere's small BlackBox and one of your HDMI-equipped TV set's ports, (HDMI cable included). Then plug the included power adapter into the Roku Premiere's small BackBox and plug in the power adapter into a wall outlet or a power strip. Install the included AA batteries into the Roku remote, turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI input port that your Roku Premiere's BlackBox is connected to, and you are ready to go. Also, the Roku Premiere is equipped with a built-in WIFI network interface for accessing the internet WIFI in your home or office. The first thing you will see is the Roku device will ask you to confirm your language and video screen type, which you use the Roku remote to change and/or accept. Anyway, you have several thousands of TV programs to choose from free, (at no out-of-your-pocket-cost), to a monthly fee for a few dollars, which could be big savings depending on the network and TV programs and/or movies you choose to have to watch. However, not every cable tv channel is streamed on the internet through Roku. For example, News12 for New Jersey has been removed from Roku access due to a disagreement between the News12 New Jersey Network and Roku, yet the News12 for New York Network and other states around the United States are accessible through Roku. Also, YouTube and YouTube TV are currently not accessible through Roku due to a disagreement between Google and Roku, which might change soon if luck has it. There are lots of Apps for Roku streaming, such as Motortrend on-demand streaming App at $4.99 monthly, which gives you thousands of Motortrend TV Programs, which I have never seen aired on Xfinity, Verizon, Optimum, etc. Also, there are no commercials with the Motortrend on-demand streaming App.

I purchased this roku as a gift for myself getting ready to get rid of the satelite dish. I'll be streaming all my channels thru Sling TV. So far it's working very very good! no problems at all!

    Replacement
Had the Roku 2 for a good 2 years. It overheated. This is our replacement. Only thing we miss is there is no headphone jack attached. Otherwise we love it. Roku is the best. No satellite contracts. Have antenna from Walmart too for basic channels. All is nice and doable for as little tv as we watch. Mostly Hulu and Netflix is our go to tv.

    So much fun.
I wasn't sure about buying a Roku, but this was easy to set up and works great. I am tech challenged...but this was simple to connect and is a snap to use. I usually make selections for my playlist from the computer, since that's what I'm used to, but it's not hard to do from the screen. I have so much more variety now, I think I'll downgrade my Dish Network package and even save some money.

    I love this Roku Premier
It turned my regular 1080p HDTV in the living room into a Smart TV. It is easy to use and incredibly easy to set up. Just plug in your HDMI cable to the Roku and the TV, attach the power supply and you're off to the races. Onscreen setup is easy as well. Just pick your language and answer a few questions and you're done. Adding TV apps is easy as well. The most popular apps are already added for you. For the rest, just open up the search line, type the TV app you want and then select it from the list. There are even parental controls to keep the kids from watching shows you don't want them to see. I loved the first one so much I bought a second one for the other TV.

    User Friendly
The Premier model is simple to connect and use, and it is faster loading than the Roku 3 I had previously. The price is good also, I would recommend it especially if you are not tech savvy.

    Easy to use
Gave this to my parents and they were able to install, use, register, and go online to add Chanells without any assistance from me. They enjoy the easy to use programming, however only wish it had an antenna so it could also play the local streaming channels like pbs, abc, nbc, Fox, etc.
