Too heavy for small children
These skates are too heavy for beginners. My son is 6 years old and the heaviness of the skates were too much for him. We are going to send back and try to find skates that are a little lighter in weight.

    Good but didn't last
    My son loves the skates and it's easy to switch between skates and rollerblades. However, we used these twice before the size adjusting button fell off and now I don't think they're usable anymore. Hopefully I'll be able to exchange or return.

    Hope you dont want to rollerblade!!
    Great as skates! But when i tried switching to roller blades the screws to get the skate off wont come off, i screwed backwards for 10 minutes it never budged. for this i give it 3 stars because the roller blades are useless

    My youngest loves his skates so much. He loves to practices skating around the house and can't wait to use his skates at the skating ring when we go one day.

    Well worth the money.
    I bought these for my 8 year old son last month. He has only used them twice but so far so good! He is using the skates as quads and is brand new to skating as a hobby. They fit him well and seem to be a much better option for us b/c he can grow into them since they are adjustable. Also, who wants to use rental skates when you can have your own?!?! Even if he never uses the inline skate, this was a great investment. The color options available by Roller Derby is nice, he got to choose the color he wanted so that helps him stay interested in this skate. He uses them on indoor rinks and compared to rental skates, he has a more stability which gives him the confidence in learning how to skate.

    Great Skates
    Skate color is exactly as pictured. The adjustable sizing made finding the appropriate size easy. Directions say to slide the skate but you actually just slide the foot part. Have not switched out to the roller blades yet so no opinion on that and that is the only reason I could not give 5 stars.The tool was included but be careful as you might miss it and accidentally throw it out. These were bought for a 5 and 7 year old.

    Walmart Comes Through
    Originally similar skates were purchased on Amazon. They arrived with no directions for switching from quad to blades. The skates were returned and the skates at Walmart were bought. The skates arrived with the quads on. And the bonus is there is a YouTube video demonstration on switching quads to blades. The skates appear to be well made and best of all our grandson loves them. Only four stars were given because we haven't tried the inline blades yet.

    Sad. Going to have problems returning handicapped
    Clip on ankle broke five minutes after wearing on xmas. My two yo was so excited. He put them on and got his hockey stick and ball out. We laughed. I guess I will have to return

    I love the fact that you can change out the wheels. I was torn on rather to buy skates or in-line wheels and this solved my problem entirely. My son just turned 6 and I got him the size small and they fit perfect with room to grow. There a good quality product and the wheels roll great. Not to fast and not to slow. I purchased these in store and noticed that the red pair had slightly different wheels than the green, on the skate version the wheels seemed thinner on the red and the green had more skateboard type wheels and i felt the green were a better wheel so I went w those and so far I think I made the right decision, however I'm not sure if much of a difference could be felt between the 2 or not. All in all I think this is a great product for the price and quality.
