Sliding lock broke
I was so happy with the gate. Overall looked v sturdy, fitted great and was working its purpose nicely, untill its lock broke down. The whole gate is metal made, but its lock part is plastic. Its lock which you have to slide to open it, broke. And now my elder son which is 4 can easily open it. I'm very disappointed with this gate.

This is why it's a 4 ⭐️ because of delivery issues, otherwise it's a 5. I asked the seller, where the other one was, and they said there was damage and they refunded me the item, even if I asked them to send me my 2nd order. Seller was a good communicator, however if this was Amazon it would have been replaced. I ordered and found same product at Amazon. No delivery issues and they even sent a picture that it was delivered. I hope Walmart will also have photo feature after a product has been delivered.Reina

I liked that depending on which doorway or stair you need it that I just add an extension to the side to help adjust for width. Being extra tall helps to keep the dog from jumping over it and less likely for a baby even if they are a climber to get over. The gate had a nice arch in the middle and the color of the finish blended in well to our door trim. I do not like when items come with special tools or a hex head driver it gives me more opportunity to lose it when I need to remove the gate. However, this one was great because the only tool you need is a standard Phillips head screw driver which is always in my tool box.Nicolem529

We are using it for our stairs and I don't worry about my crazy toddler being able to climb over it. It comes with two extension to help fit a variety of openings. It's definitely more attractive then the traditional baby gate. Install was fairy simple and took about 20-30 minutes from box to being able to be used. Gate has simple and easy lock for adults and can stay open on its own if needed.lock also has red and green to let you know that it's need property locked and secure.Nugcat

My 18 month old son is a very smart boy. It's on top of the stairs and it's solid. Extremely solid. I would strongly recommend this gate. My son is crazy smart. He is still trying to figure out how to open the gate and trying to closing the gate too. He hasn't understood how to make it happen yet but I feel very safe with him running around upstairs and this gate is there keeping him from falling down the stairs. We clearly keep an eye on him and don't let him dangle or climb on the gate. But I would and I do recommend this gate.Fa174

The tension indicator is something I didnt know I needed but am glad to have. I now dont have to guess or wait till the tension is to loose before adjusting. I dont have to move or reinstall this every time I want to go through I just open the small door and go through. This would be great for pets also as it is also is pretty tall making it harder for them to get over.NikkiKW

The seller even placed a cable tie to hold the door in place for an easy install and included an additional warning label to indicate removing the cable tie at the end of the install. That was so helpful! Good thing I read before pulling apart! The gate is well made, it has a red an green indicator sp you know if it's on too tight or just right. The screws on the ends have a rubber backing so it doesn't scratch the wall. The instructions were easy to follow and visual. The dark brown color makes it appear decor friendly. My only con was I have a frame or baseboard and it was in the middle of 38 inches where you use the small and medium attachment. This caused a little hurdle and we had to improvise by removing the bottom bumper that goes between the fence and the screw.Nena
