Strong and durable
This is very strong and sturdy tape. Easy to use and easy to start without having the tape tear while you are trying to use it. It holds on almost any surface. The amount and length could be a little longer but it's definitely enough. The tear teeth are sharp and make it easy to get any size piece you need.

Frustrating!!
1. We sealed the bottom of the boxes and then packed. The boxes remained in the AC but when we went to move the boxes they had to be re-taped. Had to use twice as much tape. Was it designed so that consumers had to buy more? 2. The tape kept getting stuck to the roll instead of staying up in the prongs. You then had to spend 5 minutes trying to get a clean thread once you got all of the little Strands to peel in synch. We have moved a lot! I always use this tape , but looking for new brands!!!

    Unacceptable
    Bought in conjunction with a Scotch 3M tape dispenser (red metal and plastic gun type dispenser with foam covered handle). The combination was useless. Tape didn't adhere very well, then tape could not be cut by the blade. The tape would not cut even when I tried to stretch against the fully deployed blade. Thus, poor tape adherence and then failure to cut resulted in a lot of tape everywhere except where needed. Disappointing.

    NIGHTMARE to get tape off roll
    Three ibuprofens and hour later, still struggling to figure out how to release beginning of tape roll so I could start using it. There was no tab to pull on end of tape to get it started. There were no directions on package, either. Finally put roll under bright light and examined. There is an INVISABLE perforation that needs to be broken and tape then released. There was no way to know this on the package.

    Amazing tape. Best for the money. If you want to ship something this is the only tape to buy. I have never had any trouble with it. Love the dispenser too. You can't go wrong with this tape. Stays very sticky

    Much stronger and easy to use
    I volunteer to evaluate products for 3M, and the company recently sent me a free sample of Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape. I have used it on several different boxes, one which had a heavy item inside and was shipping via a shipping company. I was very happy with how the tape went onto the package and how heavy the tape felt compared to my normal packaging tape. It was much more sturdy and adhered much better. The dispenser is very easy to use and it allows for a smooth cut when using the tape. Very happy and pleased with this heavy duty tape.

    I like how easy this tape comes off the dispenser. It has not once bunched or stuck wrong. I like that it stays nice and flat and does not wrinkle. It cuts very nicely when packaging a box or anything for that matter.

    Cuts Clean!
    I used Scotch Heavy duty packaging tape to mail a package and the dispenser does cut cleanly.As for super strong holding power the recipient of the package received what I shipped to her without any damage so,I would say it holds.

    Almost perfect
    I would have given it 5 stars, but it was hard to get the roll started. They do the smaller scotch tape with a colored non sticky tab to lift and start...why not this? Aside from that, the dispenser portion is solid and works well, the tape is sticky and stays stuck to boxes and envelopes well, and it doesn't seem like it will tear or come loose when shipping. Once I got it started it was easy to dispense onto the box and it's wide enough to cover a seam with a single strip. I received a free sample of this product to review
