Best tape ever. If you need tape buy this one now
Amazing tape. Best for the money. If you want to ship something this is the only tape to buy. I have never had any trouble with it. Love the dispenser too. You can't go wrong with this tape. Stays very sticky

Very cheap substitution.
I didn't get the brand I ordered, what I got was the Duck brand which is of a very inferior quality. I am extremely dissatisfied.

    Unacceptable
    Bought in conjunction with a Scotch 3M tape dispenser (red metal and plastic gun type dispenser with foam covered handle). The combination was useless. Tape didn't adhere very well, then tape could not be cut by the blade. The tape would not cut even when I tried to stretch against the fully deployed blade. Thus, poor tape adherence and then failure to cut resulted in a lot of tape everywhere except where needed. Disappointing.

    I like Scotch brand tape. It works really well and holds a long time. *****Ordered online and picked up at the pick up area. I failed to check the bag at the store. When I got home I opened the bag and the photo shows you what I received! It's been used! I'm not surprised though. I get rotten food from order pickup frequently.

    Excellent Product
    We recently boxed up several of my mother-in-laws paintings to ship to an art studio. Several were odd sizes and required us to make boxes. This tape held strong and everything was received in great shape! I highly recommend it!

    Cuts Clean!
    I used Scotch Heavy duty packaging tape to mail a package and the dispenser does cut cleanly.As for super strong holding power the recipient of the package received what I shipped to her without any damage so,I would say it holds.

    Great Packaging Tape with a Few Hick-ups
    I received a free sample of 3M Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape and used this product to seal a package to mail. I had difficulty getting the tape started. There is a "tab" that appears to be the starting point, but in fact the tape ran over and past this point, so I struggled to find the beginning of the roll. Also, there is a piece of cardboard that says "remove here" that protects the cutting blade edge which is a great safety feature. However once I removed the cardboard where indicated, the cutting edge was still covered up with part of the attached cardboard, thus making cutting the tape difficult. I tried to remove the residual cardboard tab, but it is well secured, so I was not successful. I don't know if that little tab that remains is supposed to be left on for protection of the blade, or removed, but if left on, the cutting edge is blocked, and if it is to be removed, I cannot figure out how to do so without cutting myself on the cutting edge! However the tape itself is wonderful! It dispensed very easily and smoothly. I cannot tear it, which assures secure sealing. It has it's own dispenser, which would be very handy except for the above issues. It is clear tape, so you can see where you are putting it which is obviously important when sealing a seam or package edges. I love the tape and would recommend it for anyone's packaging needs.

    Good multipurpose tape
    I used this Heavy Duty tape to tape up some boxes while helping someone move. It feels like good quality tape, so I felt confident that I wouldn't need to use a lot of it to make a good seal. It's nice, thick tape and it doesn't fold in on itself, so I like that. The dispenser rattles around a lot (not sure if that's normal), but the roll hasn't come out of it, even when it's been tossed around. Even though the sides of the roll don't feel sticky now, they attracted dust and debris, so that's not something I like to see, but I'm guessing it's unavoidable.

    This tape is Great!
    I love this tape! I recently started selling things online. As you know I have to make sure the package arrives safely to the customer. I have been using a generic tape, but it was hard to use because it kept splitting on the roll and it was not sticking properly on the tabs so I was constantly trying to fix it. In addition, because it tore so easily I was having to put two or three layers of tape to insure the safe arrival of the package. With Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Tape packaging is so much simpler. It sticks very well and does not tear so easily, so one layer of tape is enough. Also it stays stuck to the tabs, so I do not have to find the end of the roll and re-load the tape. This tape has made my life much easier!

    Almost perfect
    I would have given it 5 stars, but it was hard to get the roll started. They do the smaller scotch tape with a colored non sticky tab to lift and start...why not this? Aside from that, the dispenser portion is solid and works well, the tape is sticky and stays stuck to boxes and envelopes well, and it doesn't seem like it will tear or come loose when shipping. Once I got it started it was easy to dispense onto the box and it's wide enough to cover a seam with a single strip. I received a free sample of this product to review

    Guarantee to stay sealed - Scotch heavy duty package tape. I received this product free from 3M and it is now my go to packing tape. It's the strongest I have used thus far and that makes me feel like my package will get to its destination safely.
