Worth the money!
This safe is truly built well. You can tell it is fire and water proof. We had a diff safe purchased and you could see light from inside of the safe when the door was closed. It got returned. This safe is very heavy, easy to open, and the shipping was quick. Worth the extra money!

    Don't ever let this safe get cold
    I just purchased two safes and they were out on the porch for a few weeks in the original shipping containers with the average temperature around freezing. Once unpacked neither one could be opened as the handles would not turn or if you forced them they would buckle. Then the combination dial jammed. I called tech support and they could not help me and suggested replacing them. I put them inside the house and once they warmed up they worked perfectly. I suspect the lubricant froze or was so stiff it made the mechanism unusable. Please look into this as the safes will not open unless warm. There is NO warning about this in any literature and tech support is not aware of this problem. Alex

    I recommend Sentry brand safes.
    I'm very pleased with the overall quality. As a child I was enamored with my Grandfathers safe and have wanted one like it ever since. The exterior of this one feels as rugged as a tank but I was slightly disappointed with the plastic interior. I suppose if it weren't plastic inside the safe would weigh a ton. If I had been able to see the safe before purchasing I probably would've upgraded a level or two to have a better quality interior.

    Solid, but Combination lock does not move smoothly
    I like the sturdiness of the box itself, but the combination tumbler does not turn smoothly, and feels like cheap plastic. For the price, I would have expected a metal or more sturdy combination mechanism.

    Good Combination Safe
    Most safes are not combination. I did not want to worry about a battery or power source. After spending a lot of time reading about small combination safes on the market, I decided on the Sentry Safe which also has good fire and waterproof features which also was a priority. Just got the safe, but I am very pleased with the safe. Very easy to get in with the combination. Nice to have a back up key. Only complaint is the condition of the box when it arrived. The packing was good but there was a hole in the side of the box. It ended up being ok, but it's hard to quickly check a 125 lb safe when it is delivered.

    Just What is Needed
    This safe is the perfect size for documents, books, bottles, digital media, etc. The fire- and water-proof features are what is needed, along with the simple straight-forward security feature.

    Delivery handled horribly, product satisfactory
    I was very angry that they gave me a delivery date and then delivered early. Left the item outside of my gate as we were not hone because they delivered a week early. My husband and I are seniors, both disabled. We had to maneuver this 125 lb safe into our home, get it out of the box and in place where we wanted it. Very disappointed with the way the delivery was handled. That being said, very happy with the safe itself.
