Excellent Booster!!!
Wow I was skeptical that something that small could actually boost my Wi-Fi range! The instructions weren't all that easy for me to follow because I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to very complicated things, and the instructions although they were somewhat easy to understand I still allowed my son to help me. Once the little booster device was set up with my router, it was all go. I was thankful that the only thing I had to do after set up was plug it in and raised the little antennas, and within a matter of seconds I noticed that my website pages and downloads actually were super super fast! My home is 2000 ft. so I needed something that would carry us through, especially when everyone else in town is using the internet. I'm so glad I am using this!!!

Not the best
I received this SETEK Superboost WIFI Range Extender Signal Booster in exchange for an honest review and decided it is not worth it for me. It was relatively easy to install onto my wifi and the first day it was working ok . When I did the speed test for it I compared it to just my wifi which, in my kitchen was getting 92Mbps. When I got the WIFI Extender hooked up it dropped to 21Mbps in the kitchen. I also hooked up the Roku in the kitchen to it and it was not enough to keep the connection going and the picture would frequently freeze. For me, this is just not enough to justify keeping it; maybe if I had a part of my house that had a dead zone it would help, but it wasn't the best for me.

Great Device, You Will Love It!
Best WiFi extender yet! The extender setup and installation was very easy. I was able to connect by following the easy instructions, and connecting with my router via the WPS button. In under 10 minutes, the device was working as it should. Immediately, I noticed that my WiFi signal was a lot stronger. I have only been using the extender for a little over a week, but since the install, I have had no issues. Before installing the extender, I would disconnect from my WiFi frequently, and there would be a lot of buffering and slow response when streaming movies on other devices. Since I've installed this device, all of those issues have been fixed. I honestly have no complaints about this product, and would highly recommend this to anyone having any of the issues I mentioned above. In the past, I purchase another brand WiFi extender, but did not have the same results. One difference I noticed with this WiFi extender, is that it has 2 antennas on the device itself, whereas my previous model did not. I am so happy to have this device! This extender exceeded my expectations, as I was a bit hesitant to get another one since the last extender did not work as well. I have gone outside of my home, at least 50 feet, and the WiFi signal is still very strong. Good investment, you won't be sorry!

It does seem to extend my wifi out a bit
I was hoping to be able to use this so I could use our wifi while sitting out in the backyard, but it hasn't worked out that way. However, it absolutely made my signal stronger in my house. Our signal usually drops in the far bedroom, but we don't have problems there now.

Unit works after several set-up attempts
When I received the SETEK Superboost WiFi Range Extender Signal Booster, I was super excited. That is, until it was time to set up the unit for first use. Before I even tried to connect anything, I read AND re-read the instructions to make sure that I did everything correctly, and, I still had problems. First of all, the SETEK installation assistant NEVER automatically started. When I went to the website after entering 192.168.10.1 in the address bar, only one button came up and there was nowhere to input the password. There was a login button that never did anything after being clicked several times. Frustrated, I decided to try setting it up using the WPS button on my cable router. After a couple of attempts with no results I went into the router settings webpage and found out that I had to set it up first. After I set up the WPS, I followed the instructions and sure enough the SETEK extender finally connected to my router. YAY!!!! I tested the connection on my old phone to see if I could notice a difference in stability. Using my new SSID ending in "plus", I noticed that certain apps on my older phone were no longer having problems staying connected to the internet which meant smoother streaming of music and videos. Each SETEK wireless extender also has a network jack on the bottom that I plan on using with my new TV box when it arrives. All in all, its a useful tool for making sure that you can connect and stay connected to the internet. The fact that it supports up to 15 devices is a plus. However, they need to address the website issue as well as the so-called automatic assistant option. That's all folks!

Super Easy Set Up, Good Signal Boost
There are three ways to set up the "SETEK Superboost WiFi Range Extender Signal Booster": AP, Router and Repeater Mode. Most people can disregard the AP (Access Point) mode. AP mode is mainly for connecting more wireless devices onto your LAN; it acts as a switch. It doesn't boost your signal/bandwidth. In the router mode, your Setek is hard wired into the router, which is connected or built into your modem. The only thing this does is it extends your WiFi but it doesn't necessarily boost your bandwidth/broadband. Think the functionality of an "extension" cord. I got the SETEK to boost my WiFi signal, so I set it up in Repeater Mode. This is the original setup: My router and modem are upstairs. The signal downstairs is significantly reduced by the time the signal goes through walls, bouncing off other waves and obstructions, it's weak to no signal at all. What the SETEK does is it pulls the signal from the router and broadcasts it to a targeted area. So when you first set it up, plug it near to the WiFi router and connect with the Setek Installation Assistant. It's easy as connecting to any WiFi. Once I got onto my SSID network, and established a strong connection, I moved the SETEK to an open space downstairs, half way in between my router and nearest plug. It really did boost my signal where I could connect several laptops and phones to the extended Plus network. I also have a security cam system. I will connect it to the extended WiFi and see if I can connect, provided I don't exceed the limit of 15 devices at once. But for now, it seems to be holding, I'm getting consistent streaming. Very pleased with the SETEK how easy it was to set up. The signal strength is not super strong but for the price it's more than enough for most needs.

    Works great!
Couldn't wait to try this out. Our router is in living room, and needed better connection in the bedroom. If your router has WPS it's as easy as pushing a button to connect. If it does not, use your smartphone to connect to the unit. Was having weak signal in the bedroom and now it is as strong as if I were sitting in the living room next to the router. Does what it's supposed to do and I am happy with it.

    Works great!
Our WiFi kept losing connection and was so annoying. The tv in our bedroom, which is on the other side of our 2,600 SQ ft. house , was always buffering, or wouldn't connect or it would keep dropping the connection, and we'd have to get up out of bed and reset the router. There are 3 walls between our router and our bedroom. Or, I would be on my laptop, which was always losing connection...It was very frustrating. In comes the Setek Range extender to the rescue! This has been a god send for us. We very seldom lose connection since we got it, and video's rarely buffer now. In addition, it has increased the download time of our Roku TV from 5 mbps, to 25. It definitely solved the issues with the dead zones in our house. We put the booster in our laundry room, which is about the middle between our router and our bedroom. The booster has 3 different ways of setting it up...My husband set it up by connecting with WPS, and had it up and running in about 5 minutes. I highly recommend this booster!

    Head Scratcher
This is a nice product but I had to give it 4 stars because of the instructions. They are very confusing and poorly written. I spent an hour trying to get it working and failed. My wife tried and after over an hour she got it to work. Because of this I would not recommend to a friend.

Works as advertised, if used as directed
As always, I rate and review products based on value for price. If a $30 gadget works "pretty well", it will likely get a better review than a $100 gadget that works "pretty well". This WiFi signal extender is really easy to set up once you realize how to do it. There is a link address to a YouTube video in the instructions if you'd rather watch a video than read. Basically, you just plug this thing in to an outlet near your WiFi router, push the WPS button on your router, then push the WPS button on the extender, and let them connect. Once that is done, THEN you can unplug the extender and take it to the garage, or upstairs, or wherever you're gonna use it, and plug it in there. As long as you have a decent signal where you plug the extender in, it'll work. The recommendation is to plug the extender in about halfway between your main router and the location with the weak/nonexistent signal. For example, if you have a weak connection around your backyard fire pit or pool, then you can plug this extender in near your back door, and it will relay the signal from your living room router to the extender, then on to your backyard. If you're trying to get a better signal in an upstairs bedroom or office, plug the extender into an outlet right at the top of the stairs. It's a simple switch and the 'new' network is easy to find; the extended network will simply have your current network name with 'plus' added on. Same password. Your current network will still be visible and available to connect to. Works really well as far as range goes. Surprisingly well. From what I have read, the connection will be stronger, but a little slower, through a range extender. I haven't found that to be true, but I don't stream video on my phone. What I do is keep my laptop and tablet connected to my main network in the house, and connect my phone to the extended 'plus' network. I have saved the password, and with autoconnect, it takes 10 seconds to switch if I feel the need to. The attached photos are screenshots of my phone, in the same spot, while I was standing in my neighbor's driveway, across the street from my house. As mentioned above; the "extended" network will just be your current network with 'plus' added on. Same password. Definitely worth trying if you spend a lot of time outside, or in an area of your house where the main router's signal doesn't reach, such as a basement or upper floor.
