Vacuum received was used!!
I researched for a new vacuum for months. I finally decided to go with the Apex lz600. I opened the box to put it together and the darn thing was used!! It was disgusting. I boxed it back up and exchanged it at my local Walmart. While I was gone, I had my teens vacuum the upstairs with my 11 year old dyson which I thought worked ok. I then vacuumed with the apex and whoa!! The amount of dirt and dust was disturbing. Either my dyson really wasnt working as I thought or this vacuum was just that much better. The suction power is great. I vacuumed the whole house (4000 sq ft) and no hair wrap on the bar. I had the empty the canister twice. I love how the base disconnects for easy vacuuming of the stairs. It's low profile so it slid under the beds easily. Thinking about purchasing another to keep one down stairs (wood) for me and one upstairs (carpet) for the kids!!

I loved the vacuum at first, the way it stood on it's own, and the exceptional suction power, but then after only a couple months it just stopped working. I looked into all the parts for any problems, and had my husband do the same. Neither of us had any luck, and by the time I ended up taking it back to Walmart, they wouldn't take it back, so now I am out $240.

    I LOVE this vacuum!
    This is the best vacuum Ive ever owned. I have two long haired Havanese that shed like crazy and I have always had to cut hair off the brush roll after every use. Not with this vacuum! It works just as it says. Honestly I think its getting dirt out of my carpets that had been there for years.

    Best vacuum for pet hair.
    Best vacuum ever! I have a Hyla and Tristar vacuums but they are heavy to move now that I have 2 levels. I also now have a large dog and cat indoors. I originally bought this vacuum to use inbetween major cleaning with my other vacuum, but I haven't used my other vacuum in 9 months! This is light to carry up stairs and moves from hard surfaces to carpet seemlessly and it sucks up all the pet hair better than my other vacuums, even on rugs. I love that it stands on its own. The only downfall is the bin is small, but it's well worth a clean carpet.

    My order came in on time and packaged just fine. Assembling this vaccum is very easy and instructions are included. The first item i vacuumed was my entry door mat. That is when I knew I had made the right choice. I don't have before and after pictures and now I wish I had taken some but I dint expect for this vaccum to have such great suction. This vaccum extracted so much dirt I didnt know was in the mat. I also love the slim look and the lights. Detaching the pieces to clean different areas is very easy and convenient. I must say it is a little top heavy but I see it as a little upper body workout which I need. My daughter really likes how easy she can clean around the house especially our dogs beds. We have 7 indoor dogs with one Husky mix that sheds so much and we have no problem with vacuuming a great amount of pet hair each day. Overall I'm Very satisfied with my purchase which is why I took the time to leave a review which I rarely do.

    Exactly as advertised.
    Like that it is small and relatively lightweight, but still has great suction. Like the ease of the dirt cup; it is super easy to quickly empty. I like how it stores standing upright. I like how easy it is to detach and use as a stair cleaner. Dislikes: the cord is long, but I wish I had bought the cordless for more convenience. I dislike the weight. I thought it would be a tad lighter; it is a bit bulky for the size.

    Dislike and why 3 stars - arrived used, scratches on vacuum, out of original wrapping, could tell by the box as well. This would be Walmarts fault (not Sharks). Likes - aside for paying full price for a USED product, I do believe the vacuum is amazing and just what I was looking for. If it had not arrived like it did I would give this item 5 stars hands down.

    I tested three different manufactures and found this model to have the most suction as well as the self cleaning brush. Having two German Shepherds and twice the dog hair is no challenge for this unit. After cleaning the carpet in the family room and emptying the container I re-vacuumed the rug and the unit pulled more dust from the carpet.

    Do not hesitate to buy this vacuum cleaner!
    I knew my old vacuum cleaner was losing its suction but I had no idea until I used this new machine. It works well in carpet and wood floors. It's a little bit heavy but that is the only negative but I did not deduct points because I would rather have a slightly heavier vacuum cleaner that worked great than a lighter machine that didn't work well. Check out the photo after one use in 3 rooms. Mind you, I vacuum every week and we don't wear shoes in the house. I was mortified! The photo is a bit misleading because the collection container is not a round, only a half circle but it was still shocking.
