5 stars isn't enough
First of all, total game changer. I absolutely love this thing! Cuts my cleaning time in half. I no longer need to sweep my floors before I mop. Having pets, I clean daily. It's kind of a necessity. Especially with elderly, incontinent pets. I'm able to accomplish everything in one task that used to take me at least 3. One of my favorite features of this machine, is that all the instructions are on the cleaner itself. You don't have to run back to the manual every 5 seconds. Everything is clearly labeled, tells you exactly what you need to do. Makes things so much easier! I can vacuum and mop at the same time, which saves me so much time. When my old dachshund has an accident, I can clean it all up in 1/4 of the time it took me before. Everything comes apart for easy cleaning and it self cleans itself in between deep cleanings (when you take the brush roll out to clean that) I also really love the area carpet mode which can also be used for harder to clean up messes on other flooring. Just gives it a boost of power really and makes cleaning a snap. I absolutely adore this machine and would sing its praises all day.

Was super excited to pick this up on Black Friday. Brought it home and set it up and it kept giving the error no water was in the tank. Tried countless times of refilling the tank only to have to call Shark. They advised me the motor was burned out and that the parts are on backorder and they have no clue when it would be available. Had to return it to Wal-Mart and I am so dissapointed.

    Not easy to clean out.
    If you have any kind of sand on your floor don't buy. Clogged and have yet to get it out to where the water will be sucked up. Have purchased a lot of shark items but this one I wouldn't recommend.

    Wow! Impressive!
    This is a great little machine! My house is all hardwoods and I've been struggling to find a floor cleaning solution with six kids and the farm life. This vac and mop combo is a useful tool. It really does a great job of vacuuming small debris and pet hair while cleaning the floor and keeping the nasty dirty water separate from the clean. My floors have never looked so good after a standard sweep and mop. The cons: the manual says it must be cleaned after every use. This poses a problem for the quick grab and clean of a small spot or area. A possible solution would be to do that all day and then just run the self cleaning cycle at the end of the day and empty the dirty water/rinse the canister every evening. I'm still working that out. It also says you can only use the shark brand cleaning solution in it. I'm hoping I can find something natural I can use like vinegar for ease of availability, price, and health. Our wood floors are slightly textured with a hand planed look so sometimes the machine wants to miss a low spot if I don't go WITH the direction the wood is laid down. But this is minor. All in all, I'm very very pleased with this! I'm glad to have it.

    I really wanted to love this but
    It doesn't work for my floors because I have uneven tile floors all throughout my home and this brush misses all the low spots. I would recommend this product if u have completely flat floors like laminate. But do keep in mind that it doesn't clean about a half inch from the baseboards. Other then that I liked the way it left my floor feeling in the spots it could clean

    Just for the record, i am not a paid reviewer and I’m very honest with my reviews. I spent a couple weeks looking at reviews and comparing multiple systems. Of course they all had bad and good reviews. The main reason I chose to try this one, you don’t have to buy pads for it and also it self cleans. I live on a farm with red clay, inside/outside dogs, and no one ever takes their shoes off so my floors are always dirty. Mopping I felt like I just pushed the mud around, which was true by the paper towel test. I will say, WOW!! This thing is amazing! The dirty water made me realize just how dirty my floors were. I did the paper towel test after and there was minimal dirt. It’s fast and easy to use and dries fast. It does scrub your floor, but with a little pressure on the head, it will lol. Now on my kitchen floor, it won’t get Into the crevices, but that’s ok; a quick wipe with paper towel works. The self cleaning it great. I was surprised at how much dirty water was in the tank. I will have to clean the inside of front shield because of the hair. I sweep before but I always miss some. Overall, I believe this was a great investment for me. Maybe they’ll make a cordless one with a charging base one day.

    What great replacement for a Bissell Crosswave! We had no idea what we were missing until this new Shark arrived, there is absolutely no way to compare the 2! Shark is soo far ahead with this machine that they ought be in completely different categories. Also anytime we have needed a replacement part on other Shark products they have them, not so with Bissell. But they did offer %10 off of a new machine lol, why would we buy another that we can't get parts for? So I guess we should thank Bissell for forcing us to buy a Shark, best thing ever!

    Great Time Saver!
    Honestly, this thing is amazing! It cleans my area rugs, wonderfully just uses up a lot of water and product to do that. The floors are always spotless when I’m done. Downside is the liquid you’re supposed to use, the cleaning solution is kind of pricey and you’re not able to get corners. But definitely a big timesaver.

    Well worth it! Excellent even with kids and pets
    Easy assembly, simple instructions and it’s easy to take apart to clean and put back together! I used swiffer on my floor before hand and this got my floor 100x cleaner! Highly recommend! Oh and did I mention the cleaner is fast drying!?! Perfect for kids and pets! Floors were streak and paw print free!

    Does a great job, the only downside is that in addition to remembering to mop so you don't smudge cleaned areas, you need to remember to wire it in a place that would accessible after you mop! That extra inconvenience is worth the price!
