Worth it for the canister alone
It was fairly easy to put together. The handle just screwed in and the bottom part just clicked in no problem, just took about 2 minutes to uncover all the pieces hook up all the parts in the right places. On a side note, it came with an upholstery attachment, but I couldn't find anywhere in the directions to put it on the vacuum cleaner so mine is stuck in a drawer in the kitchen because I have nowhere else to put it. Now to the cleaning part; I haven't used it on bare floors yet and probably won't, but it has a setting for bare floors. It did take me a minute to adjust the suction to fit my carpet (there is a slide on the side of the suction tube) and once I did that I had no trouble getting used to the feel of it. I have been using this vacuum cleaner for the past two weeks in cleaning my house. I have a toddler and have picked up everything from sidewalk chalk crushed into the carpet to the usual crackers and breakfast cereal and this didn't have a problem with anything that got thrown at it. It picks up everything in the carpet, even ground in dirt. The canister gets dirty really quickly. I've only emptied the canister once in the two weeks that I used it and not because it was full but because I vacuumed up food. I vacuumed my whole house twice without having to empty the canister. If it had been my old vacuum I would have had to empty it after every room. The canister's size makes the fill line is at least three times higher than a normal bag-less vacuum and it's so light and easy to use. The filters are easy to take out and washable so you don't have to replace them unless you want to. I like this vacuum and would recommend it as a good mid-range price cleaner.

Excellent Suction
I chose the Shark Navigator model NV60 to replace my current vacuum as it just died. I had a Hoover and unfortunately, it only lasted 2 years before dying and I was never truly happy with it. My hope is that this one lasts a little longer. The package arrived without damage. The vacuum, in the manufacturers packaging, was packaged inside a brown box. The vacuum comes in comes mostly assembled. Inside the manufacturers box there were 3 pieces to the vacuum, the base, the body and the handle. Attached to the handle was one bolt/screw that is used to attach the handle to the body. There was no tool included but you can use any screwdriver or even a coin to screw in the bolt. The body just clicks onto the base. There were also 3 attachments included, a wide upholstery tool, dusting brush and a crevice tool. After looking at the assembly page it took less than 10 minutes to put the vacuum together and it would have been quicker but I got hung up on the positioning of the hose. Originally I had it covering the dust cup release button. The only other thing that I got hung up on was finding the housing for the Wide Upholstery Tool….there isn't one, lol. The smaller brush and crevice tool have a place to house on the vacuum but not the upholstery tool. At least, not one that I could find either on the vacuum or on the assembly instructions so save yourself a little time and don't look for one. The vacuum is a little heavier than I would have liked, especially if you are going to be lugging it up and down stairs but it is certainly doable. To get the vacuum ready for use all you need to do is put your foot on the base and pull back the body. There is no lever to push. The base has a swivel action so it makes it very easy to move around the floor. The on/off switch is located on the top of the body. There are 2 levels of suction and the on/off switch controls the suction levels. You either press the on/off switch to I for bare floors or II for carpets. I found the suction on II (carpets) to be quite powerful. It actually lifted my area carpet off the ground slightly. There is a suction release valve located where the top of the hose where it meets the cleaning wand, which I assume controls air flow. The power cord is very long, which is a nice feature, and can be wrapped easily around the cord clips. These clips also swivel, which make it easy and quick to release the cord. The vacuum hose is very stretchy. I found this to be beneficial when trying out the attachments because you had a lot of hose to work with. To use the attachments all you had to do is pull the cleaning wand off of its housing and attach the tool you are using. I was a little nervous that the vacuum might tip over when using the attachments, especially when pulling the cord out a little ways and one time it almost did tip over but I caught it. I guess this could be avoided if you either put the vacuum on its side or just be aware that it could happen. The vacuum has a large dust cup and to release it, all you have to do is push on a button on the top of the body. Once released I just opened the bottom and emptied it right into the trash. The manufacturer suggestion is that you empty the dust cup after each use. Pros: Easy to assemble, great Suction, good hose and cord length, comes with cleaning tools, swivel action, easy to empty Cons: A little heavy but certainly manageable, too big to go under sofa or beds, could possibly tip over when using the cleaning wand with an attachment tool. I haven't had the vacuum very long but I am pleased with it so far and would recommend it to others. Let's just hope it last longer than my old vacuum did.

    Great quality vacuum on carpet!
I was never more excited to vacuum than when this finally came and it came so quickly! If you can see the picture that's all that this vacuum sucked up in a two bedroom, carpet apartment. Our last vacuum left that behind, seriously so gross! We went from a $70 at full price Black Decker vacuum to this on sale for $99 and the difference is astonishing. Yes it's heavier but to me it's the high quality material. I had no snooty expectations because I came from a piece of junk. SUPER easy to install. It has a suction control switch to help vacuuming on carpet be easier and it did help it to push so smoothly. I can't compare with anything nicer but this is a dang good vacuum.

    Get this vacuum!
I had a white shark for 5 years and it stopped working. Went on Walmart .com and to my surprise found this one on rollback and grabbed it for $99!!! I LOVE the color! The suction on it is amazing! I had a bag full of attachments from my previous shark. I love that I can still get some use out of them.

    Shark navigator
First, I have to say this is the best vacuum I have ever owned! It was a little tricky getting the ONE screw in the whole thing lined up, but once that was in, it went together very easily. I love the way it swivels to get in and around corners. It's a little bit heavy even though the box says lightweight, but not bad. It has a complete sealed hepa system so is great if you have allergies! Comes with several tools which help so much if you have pets! Includes a wide upholstery tool and a 5.5" crevice tool. Has a huge capacity reservoir for dirt and a super stretch long tube you can detach to use the tools. I love this machine!! Works on both carpet and bare floors. Very easy to follow instructions.

    Shark Navigator® Professional Upright Vacuum
Shark Navigator® Professional Upright Vacuum Shark Navigator® Professional Upright Vacuum is absolutely wonderful. I was using a heavy duty shop vacuum that was very heavy for me to lift. However, the Shark Navigator® Professional Upright Vacuum Cleaner is mid weight so I able to lift it up and down the stairs. I also had my husband and son try out the vacuum for more input. I have a German shepherd that sheds year round. I could not believe how well and how much dog hair the Shark Navigator® Professional Upright Vacuum picked up. I used the hose for the stairs and was very easy to use and to lift up the stairs (as that was an issue I had with my other and now last vacuum). My husband tried the V in one of the bedrooms and it was so easy to use and how much more the Shark Navigator® Professional Upright Vacuum picked up compared to the huge shop vacuum that we have. My son also tried the Shark Navigator® Professional Upright Vacuum he used it in his bedroom and the huge walk in closet that he has that is straight floor. It was very easy to change from rug to bare floor and he also used the attachments and was very pleased with the results. It was also very easy to assemble. I will definitely recommend this vacuum.

    Nice vacuum
I waited a week or so before reviewing this vacuum cleaner so I would have a better idea of how well it sucks up dust and debris. I have only hardwood floors in a one-level 1100 square foot home. It did seem to get everything up, but there wasn't as much as I thought there might be. Especially since I take the dog in and out of the house several times a day and consequently track in a lot of grass clippings, etc. But the floors looked clean! It is top-heavy which is understandable for this type of vacuum and it is pretty easy to maneuver. For an older person (older than 61) it might become heavy before you get through vacuuming a larger house than mine, especially with carpet. Any vacuum like this might be difficult for some to carry upstairs to vacuum. It would only get under my kitchen cabinets if I pushed it straight in, but it did get everything. I just had to hold the regular handle and the handle on top of the canister and slide it sideways underneath the cabinets. It does have great suction and when using the attachments and if you are going over rugs, it will pull them up when you pull back on the vacuum. The little long narrow attachment kind of curves on the end and fits right against my baseboards and got all of the dust, which is awesome. My favorite thing on this vacuum! It's very easy to put on the attachments, and extremely easy to clean out after you've finished vacuuming. It was very simple to put together, and very simple to operate. I can't speak on how it does on carpeting, but overall, it's a good vacuum and I could recommend it for single story home owners.

    SMOOTHE OPERATOR
THE SHARK NAVIGATOR PROFESSIONAL SWIVEL PRO IS A SMOOTHE OPERATOR. I LOVE IT. VERY SIMPLE TO PUT TOGETHER OUT OF BOX. IT IS SO EASY TO USE AND NOT TOO HEAVY, LOVE THE SMOOTHE MOVING TURNS GOES UNDER AND AROUND FURNITURE. I WAS OVERDUE FOR A VACUME CLEANER. I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW BAD MY OLD ONE WAS UNTIL I SAW HOW GOOD THE SHARK VACUME WAS. IT PICKS UP SUPER GOOD, LIFTED DIRT FROM PREVIOUS NOT SO GOOD VACUME THAT I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS LEAVING. NICE LARGE CAPACITY DIRT CUP SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO EMPTY UNTIL YOU ARE DONE. ALSO HAS GOOD LONG CORD SO YOU CAN KEEP ON GOING INSTEAD OF STOPPING AND REPLUGGING EVERY FEW FEET. WENT FROM CARPET TO INDOOR/OUTDOOR RUG TO HARDWOOD WITHOUT ME STOPPING TO ADJUST. LOVE THE COLOR, LOVE THE EASY ACCESSABLE & EASY TO USE ATTACHMENTS, GREAT FILTER SYSTEM AND LOVE HAVING A 5 YEAR WARRANTY. DO WISH HAD A LIGHT.

    Great Vacum for everything
This is a Shark Navigator Swivel Pro---Model NV60 It has a large capacity dustcup. It also has Anti Allergen Complete Seal Technology that traps 99.9 percent of dust and allergens There is also a HEPA filter It has a power nozzle with a two-moter system with brush roll shut off for use on both carpets and bare floors. When used on bare floors the roller brush turns off. It has never lose suction technology so that it doesn't lose the suction power you need for carpets and furniture I really like the swivel feature. It goes around furniture and other things very easily I really like the super stretch hose and extension wand to reach high places and for someone like me with arthritis to be able to reach others places like book shelves to dust other places I couldn't do before. There are also 2 premium pet tools, a crevice tool and a wide upholstery tool. It has a 5 star rating and a 5 year warranty Its considered lightweight but I must ad might for me it is heavier than I am used to. My arms are not as strong as they used to be as I have arthritis and in a chair, but it is still some what easy to use. But I really like the way it works better than my old one You can find this at Walmart with a price of $139, which I think is a very good price for what you get And I highly recommend it.

    GREAT VACUUM!
The Shark Navigator Professional is all that it says it is! It is powerful and easy to use. It has a swivel base so that turning is easy. The suction on the machine is awesome! When it arrived, I had to unbox it and put it together. It was not hard to do. I just followed the directions step by step and I got it all put together. Then, I plugged it in and vacuumed my wood floor that I had just vacuumed before it arrived. I was surprised to see how much dirt my old vacuum left behind! Also, this vacuum is not "noisy" like other vacuums. It is easy to handle and easy to use. The hose is detachable and flexible for doing those above floor jobs and the cord is long enough to do a large room without tripping over it. The only drawback to this vacuum is the fact that there is no place on the vacuum for the accessory parts. I just stuck them under the handle of the dirt cup!

This vacuum is a beast! I LOVE IT!
Ok, I"m 61 yrs old and female. I've used a ton of vacuums in my lifetime. Some have had great designs and some not so great. This one, although it's a wee bit heavy for me (I'm in a wheelchair and must be in one to do my vacuuming), it does everything I ask of it- AND MORE! It's a great design, everything works as it should without hassles or problems. The cord is really nice and LONG! The hose is amazingly long and when you pull it, it gives you a great length to work with because it actually stretches very nicely. I've had other vacs that you couldn't even begin to use the hose because the minute you pulled it away from the vac body to use it, it would pull the body right back to the hose. It didn't extend of stretch at all, and therefore for my purposes it rendered the vac useless to me. This does have a place on the left side to place your foot to release the roller bar part to be able to use it as a regular vacuum, but what I like is it's very easy just to grab it by the handle on top and push it forward and if you turn it to the right or left it will also release that roller bar, so you don't have to use your feet (again very helpful to those of us either without feet or unable to use them such as wheelchair folks.) This vacuum pulled dust and dirt from the carpets that had probably been there for years, as none of my old vacs had bothered to clean that thoroughly before. I live in AZ so there is alot of dust here and blowing tan colored dirt and it embeds into just about everything. The motor on this vac is soooo strong! Just by the weight of the machine (18lbs) you can pretty much tell it's quality made and will last you for a good many years. The warranty is 5 yrs (limited) and that is longer than any vacuum I've owned. I actually couldn't find a thing that I disliked on this machine. It's almost like someone was in a wheelchair who designed this vacuum, even the 2 speed and off switch is located right on top of the vac body/dust cup. And you can use the hose with it's adjustable suction power, it was really strong just as the default setting I didn't have to change it. It's really easy for me to maneuver, even when in my wheelchair, it turns like a dream like a much higher priced vac we all know. It's amazingly easy for me to use, while in my wheelchair, from the actual vacuuming, to using the attachments and hose, to the cleaning and emptying of the "dust cup", which by the way is really large. Oh and the hose when you stretch it, becomes semi opaque so you can easily see if you have a clog in the hose and if so, where it's located. I did manage to get some clogs but I needed nothing to clear it. It was super easy to do with just my fingers. Many women will probably remember not so fondly the times they've had to take a wire hanger and straighten it out a wire hanger so they could shove it down both ends of the vac hose to try and clear a clog. I have great faith in this machine, I lovingly call it THE BEAST :)
