Very happy!
I absolutely love shark vacuums. For a cordless vacuum, I feel these are the best for cleaning and for the money. I had an earlier model that was very basic but it lasted 4 years before the battery quit recharging. This time I decided to upgrade a little. This cordless is amazing. It has duo clean which my full size upright has and better suction. So far the battery seems amazing as well. On a full charge, I can clean our ranch home from one end to the other on the basic setting without boosting before the battery needs recharged.

Disappointed and dissatisfied
There are multiple versions of this model. I returned this item because it did not have a removable battery. All versions of the Vertex have removable batteries except this one, which was not made clear in the description. The only way that these cordless vacs make sense is to have extra batteries due to the limited run time. Without a removable battery this is not possible. I felt as if the description was intentionally deceptive.

    Non-Removable Battery!! This model, WZ440H.
    Vacuum works. It doesn't suck around the edges very well at baseboards. I was expecting a little more power. The big deal breaker that wasn't advertised is the non-removable battery!!! When the battery goes I have a useless piece of crap

    Don't buy online!
    Received shipped in manufacturer box, busted open on the bottom, missing the motor section. Contacted Walmart about the issue and possible replacement or refund upon return. Was informed they would need to escalate this issue and I would have to wait for resolution from Fedex. No idea how long that would take but now I need to purchase another vacuum in the meantime with no idea whether I will receive a replacement or even a refund.

    Life-changing!
    This cordless vacuum is truly life-changing! One of the best purchases I have ever made. It seems like having to mess with a cord isn't that big of a deal, but wait until you don't. I can now vacuum in almost half the time! Unlike some of the other cordless vacuums out there, you don't have to change the roller head (based on hardwood or carpet) or keep the "on" button pressed down the whole time (Dyson). The flexible shaft allows me to get under vanities, my range and the beds without bending down. I think this vacuum is actually more powerful than my corded Shark - the soft roller gets up all of the fine dust on my hardwoods that my other one left behind. The runtime has also proven very accurate. I can vacuum for 34 minutes in normal mode (not handvac or power boost) before the battery needs to be recharged. A note about charging - the manual says to charge the battery fully before you use it the first time and then run the battery all the way down the first time you use it. That conditions the battery to hold a charge better. I waited until I needed to vacuum the whole upstairs (not just crumbs in the kitchen) to use it the first time and then I didn't turn it off for 34 minutes. I vacuumed all 1900 sq. ft. of hardwood and area rugs before it shut off. There is no docking station - plug it in anywhere and the flexible wand allows the handvac part to fold over so that it sits by itself ( see picture). It takes about 3 hours to fully recharge. I love this vacuum!!

    Came missing the middle shaft 8n a beat up box
    The package came two days after the original estimated date. The package was ripped and taped both ends with lots of clear packing tape. The box was in very bad shape. When I opened the box the middle hose shaft was missing. I don’t know if the piece got lost during shipping or if it was a returned vacuum and no one ever checked in the box. I’m hesitant to order another one but it is what I want at a good price.

    I Love my new vac!! So convenient! I can vac my whole house. No carpet, only tile and one large rug. Not heavy either. Easy to maneuver around the house and to switch off the floor to a short wand. Suction is great for what I use this for. I have told several people how much I love this gift I received for Christmas.

    Favorable overall.
    This vacuum was easy to put together and easy to use. Picked up a lot of cat fur. I really like the headlight. (I never knew what I'd been missing.) It's certainly a lot quieter than my corded vacuum. The vacuum head turns every which way to go around furniture corners, which is great. Needs a lot less muscle. The battery lasted long enough for me. You have to charge it to the max when you get it, then let it run down completely the first time you use it. READ THE DIRECTIONS. I was disappointed that there was only one attachment - a crevice tool which I had to use on the edge of the carpet because this vacuum doesn't do edges very well. No upholstery brush. Also, it doesn't stand up on its own. If you need to stop for something, you have to lay it down or prop it against a piece of furniture. The main shaft is plastic and has some play in it. Should be stronger. This model does not have a detachable battery which would be preferable. Walmart advertised this as a Black Friday special, discounted from over $300 to $199. Eight days later it's still $199. I think it was simply marked up before Thanksgiving. Really Walmart?

    Wonderful, versatile vacuum!
    I just received this today and since it came already charged, I used it for 15 to 20 minutes before it died. While it lasted, I used it to clean my dark, hardwood floors, and boy with that powerful LED light, you can really see how dirty the floors were before, especially with the room light off! (I think I'm always going to use this in the dark! ?) I included a screen shot of the video I made, and even though it's blurry, you can see where I used the vacuum just under the couch and the whitish dust layer where I haven't yet used it. What a difference that little fuzzy roller makes! Regular vacuums just pick up dirt particles, but do nothing about the dust. This vacuum will lay completely flat to get under furniture. I also pulled it apart to use as a hand vacuum, with the included attachment, and it picked up crumbs well. Emptying the canister is easy too...just push the lever and the bottom swings open (you may have to help it open). Also, it is not loud, like some people have said. I am super happy with this vacuum, and I highly recommend it!
