Great all the way around.
I bought 2 ICD digital recorders, a month apart, and had trouble with the coupon code for a discount off of any mic from the Sony Store. I had two discount coupons with the same code, and it would not enter, when I attempted to make my purchase. I called Sony Support and they got it taken care of right away at a very good deal, for me. They were back-ordered, when I made the order, but I still received both electret mics, three days later, in perfect condition and work just as they are supposed to.

Recording studio sound from a small microphone
This has to be the best investment and accessory for my GoPro 9 camera. Sound quality is dramatically clearer and cleaner. I would add the mini foam covers from Walmart https://www.walmart.com/ip/230389607 to eliminate any wind or noise generated by attaching the microphone to your clothing. It runs $8.99 for 24 covers which should last you a lifetime. My picture shows the foam covers installed. You can order just about any color if needed.

    Phenomenal for a lavalier/lapel mic
Five gold stars. Just remember you have to have a recorder that has a preamp mic input like the Tascam DR-07mkII or DR-40. The DR-100 and DP-03 do not have it. Not sure about the DR-100mkII. If you can keep the not so little DR-07mkII in your pants pocket, and add the audio back in during post-production, you can replace a wireless mic setup for video production. I'm very impressed with the sound quality of this. Also remember to play with how far down you attach it. It's pickup is quite sensitive, so you don't want it too close to your mouth. I've found the ideal spot for me is about midway between where the tops of two shirtpockets would be, maybe two buttons down on most shirts. I set recording level at 55% and that even leaves room to dial down later. Enjoy! : )
