Great price for a hard to find new shrub
These are sold out most places online and around $50 on sites that still have them in stock. I was surprised Wal-Mart had them and even more surprised when they were delivered early and healthy--packaged nicely and in great shape. I'm gonna order four more.

Southern Living plant is not your usual quality
I'm very dissatisfied with this plant that cost me $39.74 with the tax. It is in a huge pot but very small. I was so excited to see the size of the box(pictured), thinking I was going to pull out a big beautiful plant, maybe losing a few leaves because of the diameter. This plant looks like it's for next year's sales. I saw the reviews and saw a big beautiful plant purchased in April, 2021 and an 11 inch one bought in Sept,2020 so I thought surely the Sept bush was smaller because it would need time to grow for the 2021 season. If the seller wishes to replace the bush for a nicer one, I can return this little one or if they only have this small type and want to send me another one, I would be willing to keep it. But I know I can get a 2 foot magnolia fuscata at a nursery near me, I bought this one out of convenience of having it shipped to my home. I would need to fertilize this one, since the leaves are of a yellow tint and it's straggly compared to your full, bushy dark green plant in the advertisement and the April review picture that shows a beautiful dark green full leafed plant, something, I did not get. Compare the pictures to this 11 inch plant. Southern Living, I've always purchased your plants in nurseries and garden centers, never have I been so disappointed.

    Quite amazing beautiful plant. So healthy. I was shocked at what great condition the plant was in and the packing. It was packed so securely that it never looked like it had left the nursery. I'll order again. I'm so pleased.

    Plant much smaller than shown in their picture
    The plant is barely 11 inches from the soil line. Very pricey for the size of the plant. The plant otherwise appeared healthy with a few mottled all leaves. Although it seemed no worse from the shipping, some soil had come loose from the pot and had collected in the box.
