Great Stand
Great Treestand. This is my first stand as a beginner hunter and I love it. I'm a young guy ( 15 ) So I opted for this one knowing it would be heavy. The stand is great and it came with the harness and tree strap. I set it up in my yard and it works well. Make sure you go over the manual and how to wear the harness safely. Make sure you have the top and bottom securely tied to each other and your leg strain strap near you in case of emergency. Otherwise, I love the stand.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/17/2020Good valueKeep in mind this is a steel climber. It's 6lbs heavier and more prone to rust than the Aluminum version but also considerably less expensive. With some general up keep you should be able to get several season out of it.Joshua

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/09/2020a must buy for the budget mindedhave not had the chance to use yet because its august but cant wait I have the aluminum viper and love it just pricey, pro's; its great, just as good as the aluminum versions even with the extra weight seems very sturdy. Cons; fedx shipping does not take care to deliver your packages without damage, box all banged up and bent, the powder coating not to sturdy to hold up to fedx's abuse but I took a can of paint and touched it up, remember its steel and any bare spots will rust so keep an eye out for bare spots and take care of them when they happen and this thing will last longer than you, I got this one marked down to $112 and some change just wish I had more straight trees to put them on and I would have one hanging on every tree in my woods haha. But what can I say its a summit, the best climber out there.terry

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/06/2020Expired Safety strapsTreestand looks great. Definitely on the heavy side. I was very disappointed that it came was safety straps that are already expired. I do not want to buy a stand that had expired safety features obviously.Peter

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/14/2019Overall a quality treestandI've owned a Summit Viper treestand for decades (yup, decades). The original one I had had a safety strap and was open at the front of the seat. Great for bowhunting but obviously not a safety feature. I've had to add things on and eventually the seat began giving out. "New" features (for me anyway) include an improved hook and bungee system to hold your feet a little more securely. The new version is wider, probably for comfort and for bigger hunters (I've stayed the same weight for the most part). I got the steel version, which is fairly heavy because of the bigger size. The seat design is newer as are the arm pads and rests (may take a few more adjustments to get it right). Everythiing was easy to adjust and fit to my smaller frame (I'm 5'11). The only thing I had troubles with is the stand doesn't pack so well for carrying in on your back. Fortunately I don't have far to go to get it to my tree (I hunt on my own land) and I can leave it if the weather is good and come back another day. Summit put a lot of thought into the design Although I wish it was easier to carry and pack into its backpack form.Dave0

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/03/2018Great stand for the priceI was really worried about the size of the stand as far as the width of the seating area I am 6'2 and about 275 and it fits me great and I love it, and it works great for me.MelvinB

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/26/2018Viper is TopsSummit Viper is probably the finest tree stand you can buy, safe, light weight, packable and uber comfortable. The price listed here is $168 and that's a steal. I sold my 10 year old Viper for $150 and have regretted it ever since. If you deer hunt this is the ONLY stand for you and at this price is just super.Loumann
