Privacy warning
This product contains two requirements which might be important for some buyers. 1) You will be required to connect through the company's app to allow them to perform surveillance on all of your internet traffic. 2) You will be required to agree that the Peoples' Republic of China PRC is allowed to enter your premises, search through your books, files, records, and papers so that PRC may confirm for themselves that you are not stealing their software. I strongly suggest that you read this company's "privacy policy", user agreement, and set-up guide . . . all before you decide to purchase this item. I was shocked to discover these facts only after my return window had expired. You can read these things for yourself, and I wish someone had warned me first because now I cannot use this item with any peace of mind.

    I ordered a Synology router from Walmart on line but received a refurbished router from a third party vendor. I was/am very disappointed in Walmart. I've sent the router back and reordered from a different website.

    Too hard to install on desktop computer. Had to send back. Don't know if it works or not. Would not recommend unless you have someone to install for you.

    I'm sure if your not in your 80's its easier to setup, but It was more than i could achieve. Be sure you know more than I did about Synology before you order!
