I bought this a few weeks ago and since the first time I used it it smells of burning plastic whenever the water reaches a boil. I didn't think much of it the first time or two because I figured it was just doing it because it had never been used. It's still doing it and the smell is just as strong as the first time.

    Returned due to Paint Smell
    I rarely return anything, but noticed my hot water had an odor from the paint when it gets hot. I also tasted a metallic taste when using the boiled water in my tea. It's beautiful, but can't deal with the odor and taste of the boiled water.

    Love the Pioneer Woman tea kettle!
    My daughter and I got each other a tea kettle for our birthdays. We both love them! My other daughter received one for Christmas so we knew it was a good product. Heats water really quickly and beautiful on the counter!

    Great choice for Tea lovers
    Cute little electric tea kettle. Whimsical paint and I love the stainless steel inside. It works great. The only downside is that the outside gets very hot, but it is a tea kettle after all.

    I've always had stainless steel (and one white plastic one) electric kettles. This floral with dark blue kettle from my fave Pioneer Woman is a winner. It holds a lot (1.75L I think) so itsfairly heavy when full but you control how much water to put in.

    Love it!
    This kettle is not only so pretty but it does exactly what it said it does! Heats up water super fast and to the perfect temperature for coffee or tea! I was a little skeptical when i read that it would “heat water faster than the microwave” but it definitely does! I’m recommending this little kettle to everyone i know!
